This was our first of two cave adventures and was absolutely fabulous. Every step of the way Joni's organisational skills were superb and his attention to safety was appreciated. We are experienced cavers but felt that we were the first into this cave, the impact of previous trips was minimal.

This trip is a real adventure! It appears that you will be the first person to enter the cave; actually the owner of the outfit trexplore has done the first exploration of the cave himself. the cave itself is beautiful, even containing a waterfall and lots of very nice structures.

It was one enjoyable caving with the Trexplore team headed by Joni Abesamis. The cave was big so we didn't get see to much because of the lateness of our arrival. We arrived at the entrance past noon then had our lunch so we really started late. But still fun was had! I especially love the wading and swimming part... More

Visiting the Lobo cave with Joni from Trexplore was a true adventure. We stayed the night with Joni's family in Catbalogan and the following morning we started to make our way to the cave. We really enjoyed the amazing breakfast Joni and his wife had made for us. Getting to and from the cave was an adventure on itself already... More

Lobo cave was the first cave I have visited in the Philippines. It is a pristine cave that is well preserved and seemingly protected. Our guide, Joni Bonifacio of Trexplore and his staff were very knowledgeable and professional. Our small group, that consisted of many first-time cavers, all enjoyed this underground adventure of a lifetime.

So proud to tell you that Lobo Cave is one of the beautiful caves of the Philippines. On my first visit to this cave, we spent almost seven (7) hours exploring its undeground rivers, canyons, stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, chandeliers, helectites, mud hills, forest stalagmites, underground falls, etc. Try to visit this cave by contacting Jose Abesamis Bonifacio of Trexplore Adventure... WOw. Had an absolutely amazing day in this cave with Joni from Trexplore who is based in Catbalogan city. Great guide, with fantastic knowledge of the cave and you always feel safe and secure. Such an amazing variety of things under the earth!

I recently visited Lobo Cave with Joni Bonifacio from Trexplore. I've been to caves in other countries that have cemented pathways and guide rails, that are so easy (and a bit boring) that they don't require guides, and aren't really an adventure. But Lobo cave is nothing like that, it was way better than anything I did overseas! The cave... More

Joni Bonifacio, our tour guide from Trexplore, was amazing! He thought of everything to make our short time in Catbalogan worthwhile. Joni met us at the Grand Tours terminal, took us straight to his outdoor shop and off we went on our caving adventure. We didn't have to bring anything - no cash, camera, nor safety gear. Joni took care... More

I was really taken aback by the sheer size of this cave, which took a good 5 hours or so of solid exploration to see all the various sub-levels - and this isn't even the biggest one in the area. For visitors who have visited the caves in Sagada, this is on par with that experience (although rather more professional),... More
