The museum building is a fine example of a bahay-na-bato. The museum columns, dating to the mid-18th century, are hardwood trunks that support wide hardwood flooring planks in the second storey. The 2nd story has wooden walls and windows made of wood and Capiz shells....More

This is a small museum located right across the Metropolitan Cathedral of Cebu, in an old 19th century house. This museum was a bit disappointing. I was looking forward to have a historical glimpse of the Cathedral but I guess it was all gone after the cathedral itself was destroyed. The museum mainly focused about Cardinal Vidal and I was just really expecting more...More

The religious antiques were beautiful especially the statues made of ivory and glass eyes. Ask permission from the caretaker before you leave the museum for a photo in the old staircase.

Beautiful building with alot of history. Many wonderful artifacts and relics from the Spanish colonization right up to present time. Only disappointment was no pictures aloud inside, only exterior.

The history of Cebu is preserved in this museum. I is just along the road so very accessible if you want to know some of the history of Cebu.
