This church dates back to 1737, even further with previous ones having been destroyed by fires. I visited on a Saturday evening and a mass was being conducted outside and was heavily attended. Nevertheless as the building wasn't being used for this it was ok...More

Not much to say. The church is nice. It has some beautiful frescos on the ceiling. You can buy some candles and get an idea how religious Filipinos really are. The Magellan cross is right next to church.

A lot of tourists, very popular with the local tourists as well. Not really spectacular, but this is like a must visit while you are in Cebu.

Although I'm an avid fan for historical sites, but the large crowd made me agoraphobic. I didn't enjoy the view that much but I do appreciate the beauty around. My husband enjoyed it there taking lots of photos while we're there.

There are quite a few things to see within this complex. Lots of small chapels, courtyards, and alcoves containing religious statues and the like. The masses seem to take place outside. You can buy and light candles. Right in the heart if the city.
