I have never thought that this museum has too much to offer. I'm almost a local since I lived here in Cebu for almost 14 years already. This museum is in my route going to work and never ever entered here until last August 12,...More

This museum was reasonably priced and we were offered a free tour when we arrived. We declined the tour and walked around ourselves. The museum was small but we felt as though we had learnt a decent amount about the history of the place including...More

Set inside a centuries old jailhouse, Museo Sugbu is a good place to learn about Cebu's place in Philippine history. Free tour guides walk one through exhibits through pre-Spanish, Spanish Colonial, Japanese, American and current history. There is also an interesting display of vintage bicycles...More

This place is worth a visit and do expect to spend some time here. There are free tour guides here who are able to help shed light on the Cebu history. There are different zones in the musuem and is definitely worth a visit.

It was late afternoon when I got there a little bit hot but the great thing was not a lot of people going around. Which is a joy for me to explore and be able to exchange information with my tour guide.

As we had some extra time to spend, we decided to visit this museum. Simple overview of the history of Cebu. Not real spectacular, but OK. There are few nice museum shops arround where we bought some souveniers. Friendly staff.

Ticket booth is off to the right - after gate and before main door (fee: 75P). The free tour guides are volunteers - some completing internships in their related fields of study. I recommend a tip at the end. Some visitors rush through the exhibits....More

Visited with friends/colleagues last December 2016 You have different options on how to experience the tour around the museum. You can ask for assistance from their onsite tour guide (not sure if free). Or you can explore the place on your own (what we did)....More

Our last visit of the day was Museo Sugbo. This museum could definitely benefit from a narrated tour … or even a simple map. Being quite weary it took some time to realise how the galleries are laid out. Each gallery should have a narration...More
