Because I love history, being here is definitely worth my money. My husband, my sister, and I went here for a tour and enjoyed the silence and history it brought and revealed to us. We've learned so much and it's definitely worth the visit!

The museum used to be a prison. Considering the minimal entrance fee, a trip to this museum was a treat! Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tourism students served as our guides. A well-stocked museum shop would be a welcome improvement.

I still love this place as a historical and relaxation park. You get to see history of Cebu as it unfolds with all the Spanish documents and pictures. Love Cebu indeed.

When I was a younger. My idea to this place is like a prison cell. The entrance is like your getting inside of a large cell due to having barbed wires. Yet this place is having a lot of items in our history.

I often like small to mid-size regional museums more than large national museums because the collections are less edited, fresh, and the focus on local history is strong. The interesting bonus here is the architecture itself: designed in 1869 by Domingo de Escondrillas, the lone...More

This historic building used to be the Cebu City gaol. The ticket office is to the side. The girl hand wrote a receipt. Surely they could use a cash register instead? Entrance is P75 for foreigners and P30 for Filipinos. This dual pricing is more...More
