Nothing special

Place is very quiet and there is nothing really special about the place. Saving grace would be the Carmellite Convent. Make sure to buy something in th shop to help the sisters.

It is located adjacent to Carmelite monastery. After attending the 7am mass, you can pass,by the ruins which has a lot of hstory.the place is really preserved on its original state and now protected by cemented fence. There are parking space nearby and some religious saints around.

If one wanted to have a quiet moment, Pindangan Ruins is for you! It is an old church in San Fernando, La Union. Parishioners love to go to this church because of its solemnity.... one of the attracted places during Lenten season....you will not regret in coming here!

The place is a bit off the main road so we needed to hire a tricycle to get there. The ruins of the old church is interesting. The place is quiet and a bit spooky. It's good for half an hour visit

Part of our La Union road trip was side trip to Pindangan Ruins. It's not along the main road. It was actually spooky as there's not much people around so we did not bother to have our pictures taken. There isn't much to see.

I was surprised to find-out about this place, as a matter of fact, many things surprised me in La Union. They had an airport, an american military installation, a huge cement plant, tons of pebbles being exported, a beautiful chinese temple, flotsam jetsam, thunderbird resort, and a sprinkling of good restaurants. The ruins sparked my curiosity. We reached it thru... More

If you are interested in the rich history that San Fernando, La Union boasts of, then this place is a must see. It is a beautiful tie to the rich past that this place has. However, this was just a small church so do not expect something grandiose! Another thing that I loved about this place is its sereneness and... More

It been a long years, when i came here to attend the church mass. the church in-front of the ruins. The Carmelite Sisters, whose monastery stands behind the ruins, are the caretakers of the glorious landmark. The ruins’ buttresses and walls are still standing. An old well which supplied the area with cool water through the centuries, can still be... More

I've seen better ruins (in Camiguin and Thailand). But each place has its own story so I decided to still check this out. THis is actually a broken down church and still kept by the Carmelite sisters. In fact, their convent is just next door. What stands still are the sides of the church and the inside a very luscious... More

Very tranquil and quiet. If you are into historical sites and perhaps architecture, this might interest u. For most folks, it may look ordinary especially in Ilocos Norte/Sur. There is a convent and chapel nearby.
