This is not just a nice place to stroll but, if you have the map, a tour of the local history (and some national history as well).

We couldn’t stop in Auburn without paying tribute to Harriet Tubman and William Seward. This is a beautiful, quiet, reflective place and should not be missed while in the area.

It would have been nice to be able to walk around and see the cemetery. We rode around forever till we found a dirt road and parked there. Neat stones.

Walk among the founding fathers of Auburn and Cayuga County. This beautiful cemetery has amazing headstones and above ground vaults.

Very interesting tour through graves of many of the historical Auburn forefathers. Seward, Hardenberg and and Chief Logan among them. However, you had better be in decent shape as the place is VERY hilly.

There is a map near the entrance that shows the sections where the famous people are buried, however finding the sections can be a bit difficult. Perhaps some additional signage would help to find the graves.

Look up graving with Jenny. Great site to understand different reasons for coins on graves.
