Our terrific guide provided a fascinating tour of this beautifully maintained mansion. We are lucky that Seward and his family took such care of his records and their possessions; a very interesting look at one of Abraham Lincoln's Cabinet members.

In the interest of full-disclosure, we did not go on the tour. We were told the next tour was 30 minutes away, and the tour was 1:15 long…”because there’s a lot to listen to.” Uh uh….I have better things to do. We were the only...More

While vacationing in Skaneateles, NY, stopped in Auburn to visit the Seward House and Harriet Tubman home/museum. Both were interesting but the Seward home was a real surprise. There is a historical connection to both of these attractions so see both if you can!

Well worth your time. I think the tour was about 45 minutes. The guide was very interesting and knowledgeable. I learned quite a bit and had fun while doing it! Very interesting man, Mr. Seward.
