Quite a Hike

This requires strong bones and knees for you to take the hundred or so steps going to the Groto. Its your faith that lets you do what you think you cant possibly do.

You have to experience the 100 steps up the grotto. It was all so worth it! Good thing it was not too sunny and crowded when we came. Ideal time for visit is in the morning.

Wow. This was our very first destination upon arriving in Baguio around 5am. It is just few minutes ride from Victory Bus Station. The the path towards the top is challenging especially for elderly companion. Very nice place to start your Baguio tour.

We went there to pray and sacrifice by climbing all the 252 steps (you could take your vehicle to the top) but was met with vendors all the way (selling food, flowers, candles, religious and non-religious items like leather wallets and belts). Thus, the serenity and quietness conducive for a prayerful environment wasn't there anymore. It took a lot of... More

If you want to pray and have some sacrifice of walking through hundred of steps, then the place is Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Baguio City. My cousins did but I did not. I just prayed there using the other way..... not climbing the stairs.

You feel a sense of fulfillment when you reach the top because it's a very long walk. We we're not able to check the surroundings but it's still a good place to say your prayers. They sell candles worth P35-P40 depending on the area of prayer, but of course it will depend if you want to buy it or not.... More

We really enjoyed this park. You can drive up to the parking lot, or walk up the stairs from the bottom of the hill. Either way, it's very pretty surroundings with beautiful views of the city below, and a quaint chapel and grotto at the top.

Travelled with family. Was a bit of a challenge to make it to the top for "old" folks like me but well worth the climb to pay homage to Mama Mary. Felt blessed.
