The beach is surrounded by water on both sides with the town on one side and Panama City in the distance. The sand is course and the water was chilly in March, but it made a nice afternoon getaway.

During the week, this beach is a paradise. Fine sand, warm waters, gentle slope to the deep side. An taking into consideration the natural setting and traits - yes, it is very, very good. What takes away some of the thrill is the empty cans and food wraps left by tourists, hidden among the rocks, or just moved around by the waves. Another unpleasant factor is that any washroom or even shower close to the beach is for a cost. As well as the umbrellas and beach loungers, of course. Only that umbrellas are packed next to each other on the small part of the beach where the tide does not reach at noon. During the week it may be ok, however, stating Fridays, you will have to listen to everyone's music and chat - loud enough, bear with the food smells and the proximity.

Lovely area for relaxing but I wish people would respect and look after the place. Litter everywhere which makes it look scruffy. I picked some up but there was alot in some areas.

This beautiful little island offers a wonderful experience at an affordable price. Restaurants are good, (a few very good). The beaches invite you to swim in the calm waters of Taboga Bay with many activities to enjoy. Kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, diving, etc. The list is almost endless. Don't like the beach? Bring your mountain bike for some very challenging climbs and descents. Two ferry's service the island daily.
