I went as part of a boat tour that was supposed to show us dolphins and a couple of more things, but the whole boat decided to skip those and stay the whole afternoon at Zapatilla Island. It's beautiful, the only thing about it is that we had to pay 20 USD each to get there.

We came here on a boat tour and stayed about two hours. It's plenty of time to explore the little island. It was a bit overcast and the water wasn't as gorgeous as it otherwise may be due to the weather. The beach section where most people relax is rather small. And they warned us that the riptides can be... More

We arrived via boat taxi tour. It was a particularly windy day. We were subjected to choppy, open ocean to get there and return so the trip itself was a little unsettling. While there we explored the trail and saw a couple of smaller turtles. Not much else in the way of animal life. If you are looking for wild... More

Cayo zapatillas is for sure amazing and a place you must visit when visiting Bocas. Most tour operators offer whole day packages including some other attractions for about 25$ per person. You will find white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Not great for snorkeling though as the reef is on the side of the open ocean with lots of waves,... More

When we got there we had the whole island to ourselves except for two other people. Within 1 hour there were probably 200 people there. There isn't much to do there, but the beach is vey nice and there's a good trail that cuts through the island.

Isla Zapatilla is such a stunning island! Actually there are 2 islands, Zapatilla I & II and we have been to II. I think it is a little smaller than the other one. The island was part of our tour with Antwun and we stayed there for 3hrs, to enjoy the beach and water. You can have a walk around... More

We went here for a couple of hours while on a tour. We brought our own beer and snacks. Cost 5pp to use the beach. There were roped off areas around sea turtle eggs. The walk through the jungle to the other side was nice. The waves were too big for much swimming let alone snorkelling.

We tok an packed tour, dolphin, starfish and sloth and lunsj, got told it was the best beach in Bocas. so we got dropped off here for to hours but it was kinda dirty of all the wash up, and nothing to do here. The best beach in Bocas for me wil be Bocas Del Drago!

What a beautiful area! The snorkeling was awesome we seen a variety of fish and one shark. The beach is sandy white and had a turtle nest roped off, they should be hatching soon! The little islands that sit off the one end of the island are intriguing and had little crabs crawling over the rocks. Well worth the trip... More

Absolutely stunning with cristal waters and white sand. You have to pay 5 usd to go in which if it keeps some people away im all for it. There werent too many people there when we went and it was a perfect day on a paradise island. Big enough to be able to walk around but small enough not to... More
