It was the Flower Festival. The streets were filled with vendors and the skies with rain, rain, rain. This small library with cafe was a retreat. We read the local papers, watched 8-10 locals learning how to use the computers there, looked at a stunning...More

The "new" Boquete Biblioteca is a center of community activity, frequently hosting art and photography exhibits and musical performances. Of course it's a great library too, with both English and Spanish books and a computer center. For a town this size it's a great resource!

I was here for the meeting with the US Embassy, and the library provides a great space for integrating gringo and panamanian community needs.

Remarkable building for such a small town. Square blocks with glass walls around an open staircase with a glass pyramid shaped roof. Quite modern, however there is a traditional tiled cover over the lobby area. Free internet and there is a small café inside.
