We had a great couple of hours here. The plants and flowers were beautiful, saw so many birds. The children (10 &7) were kept amused by all the quirky models, statues, freaky faces. The thing they loved most though, was on the second trail, where there is some children's play equipment, including swings with really long ropes. We couldn't drag them off. Add to that some very friendly dogs who walked round some of the route with us, and it was good for all of us. The admission fee wasn't as advertised though, as it said $5 for adults and $3 for under 10s but the children were charged full price. We couldn't be bothered to argue for that amount so just paid up.

First off I will suggest that if you take a taxi there (from Boquete it was $5.00) make sure they drop you off at the top entrance. Our taxi driver would not drive up the steep entrance and we had to walk which was a challenge. We are from FL where everything is flat so we did find these gardens to be a little hard to navigate at times. There were steep inclines and large steps along the paths so if you have knee problems or any joint issues this might not be for you. All that being said, it was so worth the effort. This place is so unusual and so much fun. We took both paths that were on the property and spent about an hour there. Lots of dogs on the property as well but all of them super friendly and tame. One could spend a lot more time here but it was starting to rain so we decided to head back. I will certainly return here if we are back in the area. Well worth the admission fee of $5.00 per person.

A beautiful way to spend a couple of hours while in Boquete. Located in the Jaramillo area, the quirky garden is full of recycled materials used to display plants. Gorgeous flowers and view, its easy to walk around the 5 acres, at your own pace. Benches are spread out throughout the gardens, swing set and slide for the kids. $5 pp gets you in, with no limitation on how long you may stay. No reservation necessary

Muchos gracias. Magnifico ♥️
It is a lovely garden with very friendly people living there. There are a lot of beautiful plants and trees. For the kids there some playground activities.
The old lady gave us a tour of the garden explaining the different plants. Thank you. Hope to come back soon.

If you have a great sense of humor, enjoy flowers, cats and exploring, this is the place for you. What an unusual and fun way to explore the wonderfully landscaped garden and fairyland with roosters, dogs and cats roaming the area with you. I was there about an hour before I realized that there was another large area to enjoy. Gorgeous flowers everywhere, and eye always looking at you from treetops to hanging pots.
If you are looking for something unusual to do between hiking and rafting, this is an excellent whimsical garden to visit. Highly recommended! Just $5 for adults and well worth it to keep the gardener busy!

Supposedly the gardens were designed along the lines of Alice in wonderland...erm no. Firstly the vegetation was mostly dead, brown crispy and uninteresting. Secondly...hanging CDs with faces drawn on them from trees is not particularly jaw dropping. Lots of huts full to the rafters with rubbish..imagine emptying your loft and throwing it all into a small hut...old typewriter, hammer, empty yoghurt pots and a few limbless dolls etc. really really boring. Arrived and left with 25 mins...the empty rubbish filled pond that supposedly housed koi carp was the final straw...

Also they charge you more to enter if you are foreign..this annoys me as we don't do that here in the Uk

Overall a waste of my afternoon!

Little ones enjoyed the garden and it’s funny and whimsical decor. We all did. Great views of Volcan Baru during much of it. Helps to know Spanish to understand the multiple quotes/phrases on license plates and items throughout. Worth a little afternoon wander.

Quirky garden which has cool things to look at. I was really enjoying myself walking around until I came to the part where the rabbits were. The poor poor rabbits were crammed into dirty, horrible, tiny, inhabitable cages. I do not know how you could do that to the poor creatures! I wanted to let them all free!
The birds were also in small cages and looked very unhappy. It was so sad.
The rabbits were for sale, I hope people buy them so they can have a nice home to live in.

GO! We walked and meditated in the green, lush area of these gardens. Beautiful phrases in Spanish to help brighten the day. What a calm and peaceful adventure!

I saw some reviews that said this place was run down and not worth seeing. I disagree! While some of the characters are a little weathered, the landscape is beautiful. And even though some of the characters and whimsical items are weathered they are still very interesting and fun to look at! The area overall is very beautiful and the views are wonderful! The time spent in creating all the interesting characters and items is obvious. And there are many things to see and quotes around the property. There are many seating areas to enjoy the scenery. I especially liked the "children's hideaway" as I'll call it. There are old toys in there and even a baby swing to swing your child while you relax. We also really liked the gigantic swing set.

I suspect people that rated this low did not walk through the whole garden and therefore could not appreciate it fully. We noticed people rushing through and not seeing everything. You must take the time to walk through all the areas and really look at everything. We spent almost 2 hours here, much longer than we thought we'd be there but everything was so interesting. This is a must see while in Boquete. Quirky and fun!
