We have long been considering retiring abroad-more explicitly to Panama. No amount of research we have done has been as fruitful as the Panama Relocation Tour we just took. It really laid bare the realities, both good and bad, of this country.
The tour, itself, was quite enjoyable- hosted by John, a former stage performer of note. His wit and good nature kept the tone entertaining and light. Not an easy thing to do when talking tax arrangements and migratory requirements. He was ably co-hosted by fellow tour guide, Victoria, who often supplied on point, incisive remarks. We are both very grateful to them for the hard work they put in.
The tour was meticulously planned. It is all-inclusive, The tour paid for all entertainment, lodging and meals to an almost ridiculous level. When encountering pay toilets, the guides would make sure they paid for them before the tour clients could!
For someone considering Panama retirement, Panama Relocation Tours is indispensable. It is easier and much more reliable than any research you might be doing off the internet or available books.

Hi Ricardo,
Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re truly delighted to hear that Panama Relocation Tours helped make your research into retiring abroad more fruitful and meaningful. We know how important it is to get a clear, realistic perspective when considering such a big life change, and we’re glad the tour provided that balance of both the good and the challenging aspects of Panama.
John’s background as a musician certainly brings a unique and entertaining touch to the experience! It’s wonderful to hear that his wit and good nature kept things light, even when discussing complex topics like taxes and immigration requirements. Victoria’s insightful and on-point remarks are always a valuable addition, and we’re so glad they were able to provide the information and support you needed throughout the journey.
We take great pride in planning every detail meticulously, from covering entertainment, lodging, and meals to ensuring even the smallest inconveniences—like pay toilets—are taken care of for our guests. It’s all part of making sure your focus can be on learning and enjoying the experience without any distractions.
Thank you for highlighting the value of firsthand, boots-on-the-ground knowledge compared to online research or books. We truly believe that experiencing Panama in person, with expert guidance, makes all the difference.
We’re honored to have been a part of your retirement planning journey. If you ever decide to take the next step or need more support, we’re here to help you every step of the way.
Wishing you all the best as you continue your journey toward a new adventure in Panama!

I took the tour in April, 2023 PRT 209 and was well worth the money spent. From start to finish the tour was extremely well organized, had (3) tour guilds on this very comfortable coach bus that filled you with a wealth of knowledge from Panama City to the mountain town of Boquete. Along with this tour you are registered into a private Facebook group that is like family responding to help in anyway. Since the tour I have been back to Panama two more times July and December 2024 and with the help of Jackie Lange’s online guild made the trips very smooth and affordable.I highly recommend the Panama Relocation Tour and online guild, you won’t regret it, if you’re even thinking of relocating to Panama this is a must have.

We began our where-next journey several years ago, visiting Roatan, Belize, and Costa Rica in the Caribbean, and watching countless videos of other countries. YouTube was our window into places we didn't go. We needed to stay within a reasonable plane ride to the US for older relatives and adult children.
We discovered Panama Relocation Tours through the internet and YouTube. "PRT" focused on worldwide expats in their new Panamanian habitat. The good, the bad, and the challenging. The "B" roll was especially informative.
So we dove in. Head first.
We signed up for a country-wide tour in 2023. Honestly, having previously owned an Expedia travel center, the cost was comparable to setting up our own tour with hotels, restaurants, and transportation for a week, minus the logistic headaches. But this was a rolling east-to-west seminar, immersing us in a variety of communities, stores, apartments, resorts, beaches, and highlands. Our tour also gave us access to the Online Guide, and invaluable resource of resources, carefully curated and continually updated.
Fast forward to 2025. After another fact-finding trip in 2024 with PRT recommended Private Guides, we made the move. Sold or gave away everything. Digitized documents and photos. We've now completed our canine quarantine, ready to pick up e-Cedulás next week. Purchasing an SUV and driving from PTY to what we hope will be our new home area in the province of Chiriquí.
All this was made possible by Jackie Lange, her family, and all those who are the Panama Relocation Community. Having access to the private FB group of over 3000 like-minded expats is a bonus. Like anywhere else, there are many envy-wannabe relocation organizations and social media groups in Panamá. Be careful of inhaling their gossip, negativity and social misinformation. PRT is a time-tested, every-evolving source of trusted & vetted information.
Thank you, Panama Relocation Tours, for being a caring organization to countless people worldwide who simply want to live their best life in community with others. May God bless you all - and all those considering making the faith-leap to a new beginning!

I highly recommend Jackie Lange and the Panama Relocation Tours Team, if you are thinking about relocating to Panama. They provide a safe and friendly environment to just relax and drink in the experience. From beginning to end, they are 1st Class.
You get so much information about all the aspects of relocating to Panama. They cover everything – visa requirements, health care, insurance, relocating with a pet – you have a question, they have the answer.
We saw rental properties, visited stores, the hospital and pharmacies. It was very informative. I was on the tour with a friend, but there were a handful traveling by themselves, as well. It was easy to have someone to talk to and eat meals with during the tour. There was a lot of time on the bus covering most of Panama and a lot of interesting information.
We saw many different places that included cities, towns, beaches, mountains, farms, coffee plantations, resorts, rainforests and cloud forests.
It was very enlightening as you begin to think about where you might want to start your Panama adventure.
You get support and access to a community of people that have been on previous tours and some have relocated. There are regularly scheduled conference calls where you can participate in an exchange of questions and answers. There is nothing this community can’t answer. The guidance you get is immeasurable. I highly recommend this tour!
After careful and thoughtful consideration, I am now in the process of getting my Visa and relocating to Panama.

If you're thinking of relocating anywhere in the world, you owe it to yourself to take this tour of Panama. Nowhere else will you get all the information you need to make an informed decision on relocating anywhere. It's a nice, fun, relaxing way to get to know Panama and all the ins and outs of life there. It's not a normal tourist-y bus tour, but a information packed all inclusive learning experience that also happens to be fun and exciting.
Our tour guides on this trip were Debbie and Chuck who were so helpful and patient, but also very informative and funny as well, which made the trip that more enjoyable. They took all the worry out of the trip and made sure you got all the information you need about Panama, while having fun at the same time. It made for a camaraderie on the bus that lasts to this day: our tour created our own WhatsApp group to stay in touch. (Shout out to PRT #268!) We also keep in touch With Debbie and Chuck as well, who are always there to answer our questions, even long after the tour.
One of the many things that sets Panama Relocation Tours apart is their support and resources after the tour. The online Panama relocation guide you get after the tour is worth the price of the tour itself! So much information....even on topics you may not have thought of yet. And the PRT Facebook group is a very helpful, close-knit group of like minded expats who are more than willing to reach out with help and support. So even if you are a single person, you would never feel alone...all these people are there for you.
Panama should be on everyone's relocation list. It would take too long to mention all the boxes Panama checks, but among them, it has every environment you could ever want to live in: from big city, to small town, farmland, beaches, and mountains. The tour does a very good job of letting you experience all of these areas, which is invaluable; there's no way to get a feel for these place online or even a drive thru tour.
Getting out, walking the streets, looking though properties, meeting people and places of importance to potential expats...you can tell it was all well thought out on this tour. It was nice meeting former tour people who shared their experiences with us; that kind of information is priceless. I appreciated everyone being so friendly and accommodating to our busload of people descending upon them. :) A testament to the friendliness and kindness of both the locals and expats in every area we visited.
We seem to have found the climate in Alto Boquete to our liking so we will be looking to settle in this area.......although every other place we've seen on the tour has their appeal, that's for sure! It's all up to your personal preference.
If you're considering relocating, definitely give the tour a try, or if you don't like large groups, try a personal tour. Or if you're confident enough to go solo, buy the online guide....you'll be glad you did!
P.S.
Shout out to Jorge the bus driver! That guy has skills!
His brother too! :)

Panama Relocation Tour #269 was outstanding! It was a fun filled, highly educational week, spent with a group of like minded people. Although we had purchased the on-line guide five months before the tour, having boots on the ground and the expertise of our tour guides John and Victoria really brought so much of the on-line guide to life. We toured a hospital, various rental units, grocery stores, pharmacies and even met local expats as we moved across the country. Along the way, John and Victoria offered insights into the similarities and differences of the various communities. Their extensive first hand knowledge of the country and its unique culture were invaluable as was their willingness to go above and beyond to help tour members with any issues or concerns that arose on a personal level. John gave some impromptu lessons on What’s App and Google Translation for those who were less technologically inclined. On the last night of the tour, Victoria used her translation and negotiation skills to resolve a difficult issue for us with a landlord whose house we were renting on the night after the tour since we were staying on and venturing out on our own. The week flew by as did the time on the bus under the skillful expertise of Jorge, our bus driver, who navigated some very challenging situations while always putting our safety and comfort as his top priorities.
We are truly grateful to Jackie Lange for creating such a high quality tour company and for the caliber of staff in her organization including the office staff who provided detailed information and guidance starting on the day that we registered for the tour.
For those of you who may be considering residing in Panama, either full-time or part-time, we highly recommend PRT as the go to resource for trustworthy, in-depth and up to date information whether it be their 6 day and 7 night tour, their on-line guide, or the extensive You Tube educational videos and twice a week webinars. Check it out. You will be glad that you did. A new and amazing adventure awaits!

I completed my Panama Relocation Tour November 8th. It was hands down a wonderful experience. All that I had heard and researched was confirmed through the knowledge shared on the tour. Example: there are lots of expat communities with friendly people willing to share their experiences. The cost of my living expenses such as healthcare/meds was verified at an actual hospital, and apartment/house costs was verified with both realtors and tenants. The cost of groceries and other incidentals were confirmed and verified by all the malls and stores we visited. The beauty of the country was confirmed while driving across country. The kindness of the culture was experienced during the days I roamed on my own in Panama city. It was as easy as described to join in at an official PRT function where I was welcomed by some friendly expats having a ball and enjoying their new surroundings. I still haven't mentioned the food and lodgings during the tour. The lodging and food just put the icing on the cake for me. In life, everyone has a vice, and mine is traveling. I do not mind spending the cash for a great vacation, and PRT did not disappoint.
I'm also very impressed with how ethical Jackie is, there is no pressure or sales pitch of any kind on the tour. You get exactly what you paid for.
So if QUALITY is important to you, I would and do absolutely recommend PRT for anyone who is considering moving to Panama.

I went on trip number 274 solo. I learned lots of valuable information. John and Victoria are very knowledgeable about the process of relocating to Panama.
They gave practical, true to life, non-sugar coated information about what to expect, ways to deal with different difficulties, and a sense of humor as well.
Top tier trip!

I have followed Panama Relocation Tours for years. However, the tour was way more informative than all of the YouTubes we watched. John and Victoria were fantastic and gave us so much "relivent information" for relocating to Panama that now we feel way more confident than before to make a move. Putting our boots on the ground was well worth it. I highly recommend taking the tour.

I completed a group tour on March 7, 2025. My fellow travelers were terrific. Chuck and Debbie were very caring and informative guides. The food and accommodations were also excellent. I learned an awful lot. For anyone considering relocating to Panama, this tour will help them make better decisions, know what to expect, and avoid wasting time and money.
If I personally had it to do over again, I would probably go during the rainy/off season when more apartments are readily available to view. While carnival was fun, it wasn’t the most efficient time of year to travel the country or visit properties for rent. But this was certainly not the tour organizers’ fault, and the tradeoff was learning more about the country’s culture plus some gorgeous weather. Don’t hesitate to book this tour.

Thank you, Mary Lou! We’re so happy to hear that you found the tour valuable and that Chuck and Debbie helped make it an informative and enjoyable experience. It’s great that you connected with your fellow travelers and appreciated the food, accommodations, and overall insights about relocating to Panama.
You make an excellent point about timing—traveling during the rainy/off-season does offer different opportunities, like seeing more available rentals, while the dry season brings cultural experiences like Carnaval and plenty of sunshine. Either way, we’re thrilled you found the tour to be a worthwhile investment. If you ever need guidance as you move forward with your plans, we’re always here to help.
Wishing you the best on your Panama journey!
