We did three tours with Boquete Outdoor Adventures. The employees were thoroughly professional and well informed. Jaime was our guide on the Pipeline Trail and to the Lost Waterfalls. The man has a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the region, along with the ability to walk on a trail while looking in the treetops without falling down. My significant other and I agreed that we wouldn't have seen a tenth of what there was to observe without Jaime there to locate and point out wildlife and plants.
Pipeline Trail: Easy. Wildlife. Old-growth trees. Very busy.
Lost Waterfalls: Moderate. Lots of stairs. Some steep climbs. Muddy. Moderately busy. Three waterfalls.
Our third tour was the Island Tour, which took us to a national park in the Gulf of Chiriquí. Ed was our guide that day. We enjoyed the boat ride with Ed pointing out sights along the way, including howler monkeys. Then there was swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding from a beach, as well as a lunch featuring, among other things, an array of delicious fresh fruits.
A guide can make or break your tour. Jaime and Ed did an awesome job.

We did the 4x4 Volcan Baru sunrise tour. It was beautiful. The ride is bumpy as everyone says. We are used to 4x4, country driving, and Pink Jeep. This was far bumpier than anything we had experienced. Not bad. Very technical. David was our driver and we felt safe the entire time. One of us is scared of heights and hates driving up mountains. This is tress and rock on both sides. Felt a lot safer than hanging off the side of a Colorado or Nevada mountain going 50mph. David drove slow, explained things as we went up, had a great playlist, and has good English. At the top it was raining and cloudy at first. David gave us jackets, gloves, and blankets. We walked to the top, then down for breakfast, then all chose to go back to the top once the clouds cleared after breakfast. David made us a breakfast of pastry, cheese, strawberries, corn cake, candy, and hot chocolate and coffee. Pick the hot chocolate with marshmallows. David had great playlists of classic rock on the way up and chill music on the way down. Best part of the day was the way David helped people. We saw workers walking up. David stopped to carry their bags up. We saw tired hikers at the top. David rearranged the truck to fit them in on the way down. His pure, loving heart showed and was as beautiful as the view at the top. Thanks for a great day.

A great, relaxing excursion. A 20 minute boat ride with Eduardo to a sandy beach with adjacent reef. Snorkel, hang out in a hammock or take a swim. Fantastic lunch. We snorkeled and saw pufferfish, a tiger snake eel and a sea turtle, along with an array of beautiful, colorful fish.

We spent five nights in Boquete and went on three trips with BOA. The tours were all really well managed and a lot of fun. Along with our two teenagers, my wife and I first went white water rafting up by the border with Costa Rica (about 1hour 20 from Boquete). The experienced guides were very friendly and ensured the time we were on the river was fun but safe. We started up in the rain forest and saw squirrel monkeys and a snake as we raced through the rapids ending up about two hours (and a delicious lunch) later soaking wet but very happy. We also took a trip to one of the islands near the little fishing village at Boca Chica on Chiriqui’s Pacific coast. Again very well run by our guide Ed. It was a great way to spend the day snorkelling with the fishes and relaxing on an unspoiled tropical beach. We even saw dolphins on the trip back. Our final trip was just outside Boquete to see spectacular waterfalls in the hills. Our local guide Jaime was very knowledgable and passionate about the wildlife and local area and we enjoyed the hardish trek up through the cloud forest and were rewarded with an amazing as well as chilly dip in the pool under the waterfall. Would highly recommend Outdoor Adventures - it was a lot of fun and we thought was good value. They even provide free photos of your day!

Unfortunately, I did not actually go on the Volcan Baru Jeep trip scheduled because a member of our group had a death in the family, and we cancelled the trip five days ahead. I just received notice that, despite this early cancellation, there would be no refund. I do think five days notice is more than enough time to warrant a full refund, or, at the least, a booking fee charge deducted and then a refund from the $100+ pre-paid reservation. I certainly will not book again with them for anything! Accordiing to an email that I received today, cancellatioin must be more than seven days ahead. I notified them on March 12 for a March 17 reservation. Today is March 19. I had to write them twice in order to get a response. I do not recommend a company that is so unresponsive with their clients, especially considering the circumstances that made cancellation necessary.

We decided to do the Sunrise Jeep tour to Volcan Baru after multiple locals had suggested it. The company was very accommodating with booking us only 24 hours in advance and had an on-time pickup. There were multiple companies on the top of the volcano at sunrise but ours had the best breakfast and even brought chairs for us to sit and enjoy. They were extremely professional. We experienced a flat tire on the way down the mountain and they sprang into action and took care of it. Highly recommend this company for this tour and would do it again.

We made a reservation for the baru vulcano zipline tour and paid in full in advance. On the day of the tour it was raining heavily and heavy rain was forecasted for the entire day. Obviously, we did not feel like ziplining in the rain with poor visibility. It should be a fun trip with nice views, not a survival trip. Therefore, we wanted to cancel the trip. The company refused to give a refund. They claimed it was (at that moment) still okay on the vulcano and safe to go, so told us it was our choice not to go, not theirs. They just send us the cancellation policy, which says that they decide whether the weather is ok, not the customer. Unbelievable. This way of doing business is not acceptable. They would have send us up in pouring rain. After a heated argument we got 50 dollars back (out of 120).

Eventually it rained nonstop for two days. I am glad we did not go, but it totally sucks we lost 70 dollars.

If you decide to go with this company (or Oasis adventures as they are associated) I would recommend not to pay in advance. Pay when you are sure you wanna go up there and make sure there is no rain in the forecast.

As a plus: they communicate well and respond quickly through whatsapp.

wow . not very accurate. We do not control the weather. No trips were cancleed by any companies, does everyone get a refund when it rains any where in the world. Next time man and come into the office and talk talk about it, hiding behind a key board is so lame.

My husband and I had a great time with Jaime on our hike to the 3 Lost Waterfalls. Jaime was knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation in the jungle and was very friendly and happy to tell us what it was like growing up in Boquete. Jaime provided us with hiking poles and water and a safe trek to all 3 falls. Be aware that some physical fitness is needed to get to all 3 falls, with some steep inclines and muddy areas. Don't wear your brand new white sneakers! I highly recommend Boquete Outdoor Adventures for booking tours while in the area. All the staff we worked with were friendly, knowledgeable and fluent in English; helpful for these non-Spanish speakers.

Traveled with a large tour group to Boquete and used BOA to show us all around Alto Boquete, San Francisco, and Baja Boquete. The driver was skilled and the guide, Jim, was very knowlegable about the different communities and neighborhoods available to us as expats. Would recommend BOA to anyone looking for answers or activities.

I have not hiked with Boquete Outdoor Adventures but wanted to share my experience. I went to their agency in the morning to book a hike with a group for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it started raining a lot a few hours before the start and as I did not have any proper rain gear, I called them to cancel. Due to the circumstances, I of course did not expect to get a refund from them and did not ask for it. To my surprise, they texted me a later to inform me that I could get a refund which very positively surprised me.
