This is another place in Salalah which can be skipped if we have visited the Museum of Frankincense land. Apart from few more trees in a bigger location, there is nothing special about this place. I suggest not to plan for this place but see only if there is abundant time.

On your way to the Empty Quarter you should not miss to see the park with frankincense trees. My guide explained how incense comes from the tree and it's different qualities. This is an Unescorted site and I think they should improve the visit to this place which is pretty characteristics. I hope they will carry on preserving this Omani... More

Frankincense, sometimes referred to as olibanum, is a common type of essential oil used in aromatherapy that can offer a variety of health benefits: helping relieve chronic stress and anxiety, reducing pain and inflammation, boosting immunity and even fighting cancer.

To be really honest, I would have skipped this if I knew it before. The museum is okay, but not as thrilling, and the trail itself doesn't really give you the right feeling. It's just a little walk you're doing, without experiencing the way it used to be. It's a nice walk, but not something you definitely need to see... More

My guide drove me along parts, perhaps quite a bit of The Frankincense Trail in Oman on my way from Salalah to the Empty Quarter and back. There are a variety of sights to see. I suppose that the highlight that is most apropos to the trail was seeing a grove of Frankincense trees on the plateau high above Salalah.... More

Seems like so many local people have a picnic with family, and we all just beside the Camel! The grass green for camel feed, and clean air, huge place to point. You must go and see with your offroad car,
