Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is one of the best weekend trips one can take from UAE or Oman. A fun filled day with snorkeling, swimming, Dolphin watch, cruising. Have your breakfast and lunch on your boat. An experience one will not forget ever.

The Festung Cacapo  is a cone shaped round tower in the middle of the open area in the Khassab Fort. I walked up the ramp and wondered what I could see from the top but it only lead to a room that displays some artefacts with explanations of the daily life of locals and Maritime fishermen long ago.  That was an interesting and cultural experience. Happy Travelling!

We visited Khasab Castle with our family and some visitors. It was amazing! I didn’t expect it from to have such rich history, and I did not expect the kids to take away so much. They loved seeing all the different parts, climbing (at own risk, permitted in places) their way to the top of the towers, ducking into dark rooms and seeing re-creations of life and society of the Omani people.

Kids enter free, adults pay a nominal charge for entry and the care takers are relaxed and friendly. If you have a few hours in Khasab, stop off and see the castle.

Till now I don't know what the difference is between Khasab Fort and Khasab Castle.

I would like to pay your attention for beautiful, old fort Al Qala'a which is close to Bukha fort.

Apart from visiting the castle itself, the site offer you the possibility of visiting a good museum which display something about the history of Oman and particularly this region.
For example there was a nice reconstruction of a typical old house which I saw during my excursion in the mountain safari. Of course at the museum there are some explications and so it is interesting to understand a lot of things you see in a different time.

This is a quick stop but worth it. There are a few exhibits on life in the Khasab area of Oman with a number of artifacts to demonstrate. Well written descriptions are on display in English as well Arabic

Khasab Castle is unique and nothing like any castles we've visited in European locations. Certainly worth a visit!

We enjoyed our time at the castle 🏰, really fulfilling. Kids got to see traditional style of Building and lived the experience. Very educational and interesting.

This is old Portuguese port which has been recently renovated. Good to visit if one has time. Gives a good peep into khasab history.
