This was a fun activity to get involved with. A hike to the location and a nice private area for you to snorkel, swim and sunbathe. There are limited services around so being everything you need including food and drink with you. The water and fishes are beautiful and a must see when visiting NC.

Called Isle of Pines for a reason:-) Lots of lovely pine trees. Visited here (cruise ship port) What a laid back place, even the dogs are no hassle. The lagoon side is gorgeous for swimming and snorkelling is lovely. A tiny tiny waist deep walk and you are surrounded by colour and variety. The beach side is also lovely (I... More

AMAZING! BREATH TAKING! We loved visiting this beautiful, natural gem! Drive or get transport to where the Le meridian is located and there's huge grass area to park on. There's some local girls sitting in a stall and it's only 100 francs to pay them for access to the natural pool. You then walk down a little road and past... More

While spending a few days at Le Meridien Isle of Pines we made one of our daily activities a stroll to this wonderful place. Crystal clear waters, colourful fish and white sand make this a must do when visiting the isle.

I was always curious about New Caledonia because of the place called Isle of Pines. The interest began way back 2015 when I first read about New Caledonia. Fast forward to March 2017, I was able to go to New Caledonia with a day trip visit to Isle of Pines. I had arranged a round trip taxi service at the... More

This was just so beautiful I felt like I was in a dream. A little lagoon that expands into a beautiful clear watered swimming area - right around a large big rock right in the middle. Some of the most exotic, beautiful fish seen whilst snorkeling, in beautiful warm clear water. Ah I wish I was there right now!

We were staying nearby at the Le Meridian and this was the perfect swimming pool during low tide when the beach in front of our hotel becomes ankle deep. We were there on a day that a cruise ship was in and there were plenty of people around but it still felt like a remote location. Take your snorkel and... More

One of the most beautiful places I've been to. White sands, turquoise water, blue skys and green forests...Lots of local crafts (and crayfish) for sale along your stroll to the beach, before you slip into the clear, warm waters for a snorkel. Then lie back under the trees and soak up the view...I didn't want to leave.

This is the main attraction of Ile des Pins. The lagoon is best accessible during morning hours when the water recedes, and be aware that at high water, the water is knee or thigh high! The fastest way to get there is to walk along the dry river bank from Le Meridien (when the water has receded) and follow the... More

AUD $60 per adult booked through Carnival Legend Cruise Ship is the ISLAND DISCOVERY. Great value. Visit Queen Hortense's Grotto (bit slippery when wet but mostly level walking); The Church of the Assumption (took 43 years to build in the 1800's because everything was hand made, hand carved and hand painted and NO "restorations") and the beautiful traditional Island War...
