When you read the reviews there should be loads of flamingos, pelicans etc in Walvisbay, We stayed near the waterfront and for two days we have seen 1 pelican, no flamingos but some seagulls. So not very interesting. Nice to be able to walk to...More

The rest of the town is a bit dreary, this little gem has a number or decent restaurants an a cool bar or two. Definitely go there if you find yourself in Walvis Bay

Great holiday spot with great restaurants and facilities. Being here puts a smile on your face. The beach is clean and neat and all the people there seem to be very courteous and thoughtful of other users of the facility.

Find a small but useful selection of eateries and shops here and this is the main spot to book and plan your activities at.

Walvis Bay Waterfront offers a great walking experience along the coastline. This is not to be taken for granted here as the majority of the coastline in Walvis is taken by the massive industrial areas.

The parks along the waterfront along Atlantic ave in Walvis Bay provide a fantastic place to view the large groups of flamingoes and pelicans. Very easy to access.

Not much here except tiny flies that coat the broadwalk. It's really not worth visiting (neither is the bird paradise, which is a sewage works)

This is a nice stoll and there are several restaurants nearby. Best to have a jacket/ windbreaker near as the wind is cold and makes it feel colder than it is, especially if you came from the desert

Very pleasant walk from The Raft to the entrance to the park..... The esplanade walkway is wide and well maintained, with a grass lawn between it and the Esplanade road. From the walk you will see an abundance of flamingos, pelicans, gulls and cormorants...Just lovely...More
