Fantastic morning of kayaking with Jeanne from Ecomarine. The close encounter with the seals of: Walvis Bay is a truly special wildlife experience not to be missed if you are in Namibia. The young seal pups are very curious and keen to play performing somersaults and nibbling the paddle. This is a truly special wildlife interaction which I highly recommend.... More

I had the pleasure of taking a kayaking tour with Jeanne (the owner of this company). She is a very friendly and informative host. The activity consisted of a 4x4 trip from Walvis Bay to Pelican Point followed by a several hour kayaking experience amongst several seal colonies at Pelican Point. The car ride takes you past beautiful scenery with... More

This was a perfect trip and truly amazing. Being up close and on the same level with the tremendous amount of seals was a very special gift. I am an ocean swimmer and have swam with seal and other marine life. But, being in the presence of the various ages of the seals and other wildlife was fabulous. I haven't... More

We spent a morning kayaking with Eco Marine among the seals near Walvis Bay. Jeanne made the whole trip really interesting. On the drive to the point, we saw lots of flamingo, as well as pelican and jackal. The seals were fantastic. In the kayak you can get right into the middle of them and see them very close up.... An amazing way to spend the morning, paddling gently around a stunning lagoon with seals leaping around the boat. Jeanne at Eco Marine is lovely and very knowledgeable about the animals in the bay, 19 years experience of paddling each day. Jeanne provides you with all the equipment you should need, so don't worry about packing anything specific, neoprene shoes,... More

Jeanne's enthusiasm is infectious, and her knowledge of, and care for, the area is amazing. Fascinating drive to the water's edge, followed by a truly unforgettable experience - surrounded by seals both in and out of the water...magical! Even got to tickle a seal's muzzle! Could have stayed all day! Plus, the food provided was really tasty!! Sign up today!

We had a great morning with Jeanne and the seals. Booked directly via email, and confirmation was sent to our accommodation the day before. Everything we needed was provided, and we had a lovely morning out on the water with the seals, followed by tea and cake which went down very well!!

The company with whom we booked a small group safari in Namibia arranged for us to kayak with the fur seals with Jeanne, and we couldn't have been much happier with the experience. We appreciated Jeanne's skillful drive across the sand to Pelican Point and her provision of all manner of gear, from warm fleeces and waterproof pants and jackets... More

Kayaking with Jeanne and the fur seals at Pelican Point was an outstanding experience for my husband, our two teen-aged sons and me. The seals are very curious and do not need to be enticed in any way to come up to the kayaks. They like to nibble on the paddles as well as your fingers if you put them... More

A great morning's experience with Jeanne and Bernhard as they led us on a kayak trip in a very sheltered part of Walvis Bay where we were able to see Cape Fur Seals close up. In their hundreds, if not thousands, they approached the kayaks, explored the oars, turned over to be scratched, leapt from the water and played among... More
