Can't recommend these guys enough - the Living Desert tour was well organised, accessible, and we saw snakes, spiders, lizards... We also did the combined sea kayaking and Sandwich Harbour tour through them and were really impressed. The tour guides were knowledgeable, and really focused...More

This tour was really excellent as it gave a real insite into life in the desert. Our guides were knowledgeable and very good at finding the snakes, lizards, chameleons and other creatures which were hiding under the dunes.

This Namib Desert tour is terrific. We did it in the afternoon taking about four hours. The minibus was very comfortable and Borden, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and likeable. We travelled through the 'moonscape' where we were told about the history, geology, flora and...More

The Bites & Brews tour was the highlight of our limited time in Swakopmund. We were introduced to locations and products that were off-the-beaten-path and would have escaped our notice otherwise. Every site we visited had a unique offering. It was a perfect combination of...More

Charly and his team find all kind of animals in the desert. They have great understanding of the ecosystem and know how to read the tracks. Surprising how much you learn from them

A very nice trip looking for the small inhabitants of the dunes. Guides worked hard to find lizards, snakes and other creatures of what looks like a lifeless sand desert.

Thank you for the review. The guides work hard and it is a real skill to find little creatures hidden in the sand. We often refer it to having X-Ray vision. We are glad you enjoyed the trip. Gerald

We did the 'little 5'-tour. Our guide (Nick) was great. He truly made our day. He was very gentle with the animals he showed us. Great knowledge about the ecosystem. The animals come first with this tour and that's the way it should be. For...More

We only have enough time to do one morning tour while in Swakopmund and we're having a hard time deciding between the Sandwich harbor tour or the Living desert tour. Has anyone done both and can weigh in on which one they preferred? We would like to do whichever one has the most spectacular views (especially of the dunes), and I know that the focus of the Living desert tour is on the little 5, but pictures posted on TA also show spectacular dune scenery that is very unique in color (the dunes look painted with beautiful grey tones). Does this mean you get to enjoy a lot of this beautiful dune scenery while doing the Living desert tour? The Sandwich Harbor pictures look beautiful as well, but the pictures of the dunes look very different and more light in color. Also I've contacted Sandwich Harbor 4x4 tours and on the day of our tour we will most likely be unable to enter Sandwich Harbor lagoon as it will be during high tides, however they stop at various look-out points where you can see the lagoon perfectly. Would this still be worth it you think? Anyways if anyone has any opinions on which tour they would choose if they could only pick one and why, that would be very helpful! Thank you!!

You just have to call them and they will tell you if they have room to place you within a group. They normally like to have as many people as possible just like any other business, to be profitable. Enjoy it!
