We are travelling with Jenman Safaris Northern Experience. This was a well worth doing option whilst we stayed in Swakopmund. We were picked up at our accomodation and taken to the desert. There were 4 vehicles which travelled in pairs through the desert, stopping and...More

It's amazing to see how these guys can pull such tiny creatures from the sand. The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because it's sometimes hard to see. People get really pushy when there are small animals, but the guides should try to...More

Thanks for your positive review and suggestions. Concerning the group size, it is a good idea to have smaller groups but its a much higher impact to the creatures and environment. We run 3 vehicles in a group which means we only need to disturb...More

Amazing trip, lots of fun and information. Our guides were really enthusiastic and did quite a bit of walking and tracking... Thus we were able to observe spiders, adders, geckos, birds and - chameleons (eating worms!). Stunning scenery drive as well.

I took the tour and had a great time and learned so much about the desert surrounding Swakopmund. There are many small animals that are a part of the biodiversity.

It's quite a unique experience, really helped us to look at the desert under a different angle, those dunes are full of life which adapted to the environment in a variety of ways. Children were particularly excited about spiders, snakes, birds and chameleons. There are...More

The chance to learn and understand more about the small creatures living in the desert was incredibly enjoyable and entertaining. Our tour guide provided an engaging and humorous bilingual (German/English) presentation, and we meet other travellers from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages. I...More
