It's a great medina to wander around and feels relatively safe. You don't get as hassled as I was expecting but you'll have many people say hello to you or try and offer you tea. A simple non merci or la shokran to people trying...More

One of the best medinas we experienced in Morocco. Wandering through the shops and streets and soaking up the culture was wonderful and people very friendly. A great experience.
After a tour to the hot south of Morocco we finished in the relaxed Essaouira. We had a riad in the middle of the medina. On walking distance of all the famous sights.
