DS is an old building at the entrance of Essaouira. It has a lot of history, having held different events in there and gathered many artists.. Go visit :)

Even if there's nothing going on go in and visit for the architecture. Usually there an art exhibition going on and in season many events usually in arabic. I go for the art exhibits and the music events because my morrocan is not that good but they also have conferences and lectures.

Hanging around in Essaouira can be tiresome... Cause you're just not used to Morroc. So free wifi without password and a nice soft admosphere/chair is a relieve....

Dar Souiri arranged for myself to obtain a wheelchair for my 80 year old mother whilst we were holidaying in Essaouira. My Mother has mobility issues and can't walk very far unaided. This improved the quality of my and my mother's holiday experience beyond words! Thank you so much Dar Souiri!

Like others we found no welcome here, but the space was lovely as was the exhibition of photos and paintings. There are loos here, though the opening times are quite restrictive!

I tried my best to find the cultural spaces in Essaouira and this was one. It is a charming building and you can walk in but as a visitor it wasn't very welcoming- I felt like I was intruding and no one approached us until we walked upstairs and someone told us it was a no go area. There seemed... More

This is a lovely space. One section houses a small library and another an art gallery space. The staff, however, maintain what we are disappointed to find is a universal indifference

Saw the beauty of this building housing the Association Essaouria-Mogador during the "Printemps Musical desALizes".I have been to many music festivals but this was the best, especially the Talent of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Morocco. Lovely building ,terrific library and beautiful mother of pearl Medina replica. Friendly, kind staff.
