This is the island near the Ibrahim Nasir International airport. It is a well planned leisure spot. I had fun in the hulhumale sun.

One day trip to Hulhumalé. It was a peaceful place to walk around in hulhumalé. Try to find that one street filled with trees for photography. best to go in the evening. Try maldivian high tea in their restaurant, the food is good.

We stayed 3 nights on this reclaimed island, 15 mins drive from the Male airport. We picked a 4D3N value for money package which includes the following activities: - snorkeling and picnic lunch at a sandbank, snorkeling at deep sea, dolphin sighting and BBQ dinner - full day 5* resort trip (inclusive of buffet lunch, unlimited drinks all day, shower/changing... It is one of the well planned islands of Maldieve. This is famous for transit hotels & closest to International airport. We enjoyed our leisure time here. This island is full of tasty restaurants & water sports. This is a good choice for those travellers who would travel Maldieve on budget! Without staying at resorts, one can enjoy quality time.... Hulhumale is a nice place to explore. People are friendly. It's a quiet small place and currently it's being developed. Beach front was nice, clear water and white sand although you're not allowed to wear a swimsuit. I just didn't like the trash along the shore, mostly plastic water bottles. By the way, there are no alcoholic drinks here. You... More

While maafushi island was quite good; Hulhumale was a total waste of.time and money. We were tempted to this city/area bcoz of its proximity to the airport and the idea of avoiding travelling cost to other islands...but this... More

Maldives is fast reclaiming land for its ever growing needs and 13 million tourists a year. Although far behind in tourist comparison of Thailand, which is 70 million, Maldives has its own challenges. The neighbouring islands of Hulhulé and Hulhumalé next to the capital Malé are both reclaimed since 2003. They are further growing up north joining an already natural... More
