The journey on this train will take you back to a by gone era. They try to be as authentic as possible. There were two delays, but so what, that is how travel by a wood fire train goes. We got to know the couple...More

We got away promptly at 10 am and the presentation at the start was of a high standard. Part way in we were delayed as the engine needed to build up steam, meaning we were over an hour behind before we got to the last...More

This was a highlight of our tour of Borneo, loved it. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to plan and deliver the experience: steam train, special carriages, staff dressed in safari suits, tiffin lunch. It was a very memorable experience, in a different...More

What an experience. You have to be aware this is an old locomotive and delays are to be expected. But staff kept us informed anytime we were delayed, usually for the locomotive to build up or release steam pressure. Food was good and tasty, we...More

We got back at 6pm rather than the advertised 2pm. What did we spend the extra time doing? Parked in basic railway stations looking out at rubbish strewn streets & creeks. No communication from the staff. OK if you are into steam engines but otherwise...More
