Laman Padi which should be one of the tourist attractions is now a run down place. The place is not well managed, the building is also idle or looks like abandoned. The museum is still in good condition but no one in this building while...More

This is the rice museum. I all ready made my comment there. I really gets surprised how come trop advisor gets to show one attraction as 2 separate each in different language. This is really confusing.

Run down everywhere. Stayed and wandered around for approximately one hour and didn't see one person. Wanted to eat there but no one about. Weeds growing and walkways cracked. Waste of time.

Went there for early dinner but found out they only have dinner set for minimum 2pax. So I ordered a drink, sat at one of the many outdoor hut in the middle of the rice field, enjoyed the peace and quiet and left.

Guide Mr Rusdi was very patient in bringing me around the place despite I was alone. He is very knowledgeable and was able to name most of the plants. Guided tour is free but please remember to tip the guide for his effort.

If in the area and you have an interest in history of rice production then stop by. The main museum is air conditioned, there is however lots to see outside.

We initially popped in at about 11am on a Friday, and to be honest it looked a little run down and deserted. We saw a man tending to the plants and asked if he was the guide? He was and told us his next tour...More

Hubby and I visited this museum to witness the rice field plantation process and tools. It turned out we were the only customers at this time. It’s a small museum. It was a nice lovely entrance where we saw chickens and roosters running around and...More
