- Wendy SBrisbane, Australia826 contributionsHmmmExpensive. 199 MRM or nearly $70 AUD . Fun for kids under 8 I think. Limited rides. Not a lot to do or see. Has some activities for kids to participate in. Fairly bland as a "to do" sadly because Johor Bahru Malaysia is an awesome city.Dear Wendy, We highly appreciate you taking time to share your review and for rating us. - Melanie RSydney, Australia11 contributionsSuch a fun place to stayWe stayed here for my son's birthday, for 3 nights. We are a family of lego lovers, so this we had high hopes for this hotel, and they delivered! So much lego, everywhere. The boys were never without something to build, so they never had to wait patiently at anytime during the stay. The facilities were very clean, and every thing that could be catered to children was. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and kind. I was amazed at the tiniest details the hotel had thought of to ensure the kids had the best time. They loved the donut decorating and the lego robes and slippers in the rooms. The treasure hunt in the room for the lego was a really fun surprise. It really is such an amazing place, that makes holidaying with your children so easy. I think they enjoyed the hotel more than the theme parks. I want to make a special mention to the lifeguards at the hotel pool, they were so warm and friendly to my children and to us. Also to the security staff at the front door, for being so welcoming and helpful with our luggage, and the security at the exit door to the theme parks, who gave my kids a hi 5 everytime we came in and out the doors. All the staff seemed happy to be there, and showed a genuine interest in meeting the kids and talking to them. A big thankyou to Azryn on the front desk for being so kind and helpful with my requests. The biggest thankyou to Jiyasa (I hope that's his name), who went out of his way to create some lego that my children requested he built, which they now treasure more than any of the lego we actually purchased. He was so good with all the kids, so patient and friendly. There was nothing I could fault during our stay, I was really impressed.Dear Melanie, We are so happy reading your review and exceptional 5-star rating. We are glad that you really love your recent visit as your kind words have truly brightened our day! We are overjoyed to hear that your experience was filled with pure fun and excitement, we are also glad that you've chosen our resort to celebrate your son's birthday. - TrailBlazer3244613 contributionsLegoland Trip- Fun with FamilyLegoland was very fun and entertaining. The rides were endless and in each one we enjoyed a lot. The VR rollercoaster was amazing and the VR felt extremely realistic and it felt as if we were in a race car with Lego characters and was a part of the race. We had a chance to ride 5 times for VR ride. We lost very quickly due to the massiveness of Legoland and hope to come here again.Dear TrailBlazer324461, Thank you so much for sharing your review and rating with us. - Rammel2019Phuket Town, Thailand17 contributions"A Fun Day at Legoland Malaysia"Legoland Malaysia is a fantastic place for families, especially for kids. The staff's attentiveness, particularly at the restaurant, stood out during our visit. They made sure the kids were happy, and they even provided free ice cream for kids who participated in making the chicken Lego. Overall, the visit was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time, and the parents enjoyed it moderately, as long as the kids were happy. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide copies of maps for visitors. This would help us keep track of the activities we've done and make the experience even smoother. In conclusion, Legoland Malaysia is a place where kids can have a blast. Other kids will surely enjoy it as well.Dear Rammel, We extend our heartfelt appreciation for your thoughtful review and rating of our resort. Worst annual pass ever! Annual pass holder only can visit on weekend instead of 1 whole week. If the park’s access is only limited on Friday to Sunday, it shall not be labelled as “Annual Pass” but instead, a “Weekend Pass” that shall come with a lower price. Such information was not fairly conveyed during the sales of Legoland’s Annual Passes and I have a strong ground to believe that such sales was not carried out with transparency and justification. The sales staff at the counter was just mentioned the two block-out months which are June and December, little did the guy further articulate more on the weekly’s limited access.
The park only open on weekend start from Nov 2020 until now.

I do miss my Legoland during this Covid-19 MCO and finally I have the chance to check in. While I was going to renew my annual pass, the Legoland administrative provided me the good news of the 3 months extended validity for my annual pass. Also 20% off for all merchandizes that caught my attention to grab even more of my favourite collections. This shows the sincerity of Legoland management for their loyal customer.
Of all above, there is one guy wearing blue t-shirt (later found out his name is Mr. Francis) that caught my attention that always emphasize and remind us of keeping our distancing and self-caution of surrounding. I'm glad that Legoland did a very good job of providing social distancing and hand sanitizer could be found almost anywhere. It makes me feel confident whenever I step in Legoland.

Good sanitisation practices during this covid season. All rides are sanitized after each ride. Hand sanitizer are everywhere. My 5yo is enjoying quite a number of rides while the 2yo is having slightly less fun due to age limit although he meets some of the height requirement. Weather is hot and humid. Face masks are soaking wet yet we salute the staffs who have to wear the mask all day long under the sun. There are no connected shade in the park or between the parks (theme park, water park, sea life). It is either you get toasted in a big sunny day or get wet during a rainy day. Properly it will be good to consider opening earlier at 8am instead of 10am. Lastly I would like to suggest Legoland to have more hand washing facilities at the eateries inside the park. Currently it always require a bit of walking which is not convenient for families with kids. This is especially essential in this covid season.
Thank you Legoland!
Thank you Legoland!

Dear jiahuan1007,
Thank you for your fabulous review. We are glad to know that you and your family enjoyed your daycation at our park. LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is designed for families with children aged 2-12 years old. It is also the place to be if you are a LEGO lover and a child at heart.
Here at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, it is our main priority to ensure that all of our guests are safe. All restrictions are made according to the standards of rides manufacture. There are activities that the younger children will be able to enjoy such as Duplo Express, Kids Power Tower, and other play areas.
As we are an outdoor Theme Park in Malaysia and thus subjected to the current weather condition. We have made numerous initiatives in building more shades, shelters and expanded the air-conditioned area throughout the Resort and we also have a variety of indoor attractions and rides that parents and children can enjoy such as Mindstorms, NINJAGO Live Show, Build & Test, NINJAGO The Ride and SEALIFE.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family again!

Just a 1-hour ride from Singapore and you’ll reach Legoland. We really had a good time here riding the amazing rides because of shorter waiting time so much unlikely at Universal Studios where we were the day before. We enjoyed Miniland where popular tourist destinations in Asia are featured in miniatures. It’s just sad to note that only a few people go here. It’s really worth a visit for the whole family.

Thank you for rating and reviewing us. It sounds like you had the opportunity to hit up a wide variety of the rides, shows, and attractions that we have available, and we're glad that manageable wait times helped you focus more on making awesome memories with your family!
We are happy to know that you find Miniland to be as impressive as we do. LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is designed for children aged 2-12 years old. However, this does not mean that adults cannot fully enjoy it as well. And we are happy to know that you were able to enjoy yourself here.
We do hope you'd come to visit us again to build memories with us. Have a Bricktastic day!

I have not been here since pre-pandemic, but nothing seems to have changed.
Legoland is an established company around the world, but it seems to lack the “large themepark” feeling when in Malaysia. You can see the wear and tear in the buildings although its only opened its doors in 2013. For example, I rode The Dragon roller coaster back in 2015, the animatronics, aircons, lights were all in order. In 2019, all that was gone and it was just a weird awkward segment before the actual roller coaster. Today in 2022, the ride has not been maintained since the last time I came. This makes you question your safety harnesses as you are not sure what has been maintained or not. The shooting game at the Egypt segment is horrible as well. Guns were not working and ride technology is so old. Ninjago ride was decent, and you can tell its the newest ride but the sensors were not working and 3d glasses were smelly and sticky. All the staff I have met do not demonstrate what customer service should be displayed in a big worldwide establishment. There were no masks on, talking, and you really feel as though your safety has been compromised.
If you are visiting Malaysia, I recommend skipping this, add Singapore for a one-day trip and visit Universal Studios instead. By comparison it is worlds apart. Staff are courteous, rides are more expansive and fun, and technology there is immensely better and safer.
I came with my friends and there was not much to do, only did 4 rides and called it a day. It was 189 ringgit spent for only 2 hours at the park. Only
good thing was that there was nobody in the park, so you pretty much have the whole place to yourself. This speaks volumes on what the park’s future is going to be like if no refurbishing or expansion of the park is in works.

My partner and I went to the main park over two days. Very glad we went as we had lots of fun on both the rides and looking at all the cool statues scattered about the park.
There weren’t many other people around so we could go on the rides over and over if we wanted and there was basically no waiting time which was great. But it did mean a lot of the food places were closed and performances weren’t on. We were sad the main large roller coaster was undergoing maintenance, and for some unknown reason the VR coaster didn’t actually have the VR headsets to use!
Overall all it was lots of fun!!
Definitely recommend bringing an umbrella to keep away from the hot hot sun and also be warned that you get soaking wet on the splash mountain type ride 🤣

Dear CaitM891,
Thank you for your lovely review. Nothing makes us happier than when we hear that we have brought smiles to our guests. We're glad that manageable wait times helped you focus more on making awesome memories with your love one!
LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is designed for families with children aged 2-12 years old. It is also the place to be if you are a LEGO lover and a child at heart. Guest safety is our top priority. Thus, it is common to perform mandatory annual maintenance to ensure that all our rides and attractions are fully safe to be thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. We, however, try to rotate this on-going maintenance program throughout the Park so only minimum rides are closed at any given time.
We thank you again for taking the time to give us your feedback and we hope to see you again at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.

We just went and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The park was relatively empty, so we didn’t have to queue up for rides.
The mini city was A M A Z I N G!!
There was a selection of food and we ended up getting grilled chicken, fries, coleslaw, dessert and drink for about NZD$15! Normally food in theme parks are very expensive.
Would definitely recommend. My only suggestion is that if you’re not going to the water park you probably only need a one day pass. Also there isn’t much in the surrounding area.

We loved our VIP experience provided by Legoland! We skipped all the queues and took repeated rides during our 6 hours at Legoland. The host (Hasfiq) was great looking after our 2 kids and he even took a roller coaster ride together with one of my boys (which is way above what he does) as we had enough of the rides but the boy wanted to go but was not tall enough to go alone. That was the friendship they built within a short span of time. We are so well looked after even for meals (breakfast and lunch included in this experience )
We cannot recommend this VIP experience enough but booking this during the busy season is a hassle itself (especially if you also want to stay at Legoland hotel) so i hope the booking process be smooth for future guests.

I spent 3 days here. One day for theme park, one for water, and another for random rides and sea life. The staff here are friendly. Attractions are fun for little ones (less than 15 yo). I got dizzy whenever I get on rides, but I'm generally OK with all rides here as they aren't that intense. I'd recommend buying an annual pass as you get free parking, get to eat out as the food inside the park is expensive. The price difference is almost the same as the savings u get.

We were supposed to go 2 days ago. So excited for our first Legoland experience... but due to a back injury, we were unable to go that day.
Buying tickets in advance seems like a good idea until you see that you cannot exchange plus fine print says that you are not even guaranteed admission. Not sure if there's any benefit to buying tickets ahead of time. We're at a loss of the cost for 3 tickets.

I see some rides have a height and age requirement - for example, 105cm and 4 years old. My son is *almost* 4, and over 105cm, but will still be 3 when we arrive.
Do they really check his age? Or is his height enough?

Is Legoland Malaysia has luggage storage facility or services? Thanks in advance!
Written 6 October 2022
Yes they have. The larger lockers are usually taken up fast so must go early. But if u sign up for the annual pass, u can check with their guest service. Their service is great.
I event checked in 1 car seat and a booster.

What are the days and timings for Legoland ?

We are a group of adults and kids planning to come here in end of December.. we are keen on the dry and sea life parks.. should we take a 2 day pass and stay nearby for a night? Pls suggest few mid-range options of stay nearby.

The theme park should require one whole day of fun and excitement. The Sealife experience requires approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. I would suggest to puchase the 1-Day Double Pass that includes both Theme Park and Sealife. Enter the theme park first (opens at 10am), have a good time and lunch there. Once you are done, exit the theme park and enter the Sealife which is right outside. Mind you, 1-Day pass does not allow re-entry to the theme park so be sure to save the Sealife for last. As to accommodation, can search around Medini or Puteri Harbour. Most in the area are apartments big enough for a family.
