Wonderful tsingy
Nov 2019 • Couples
The trek in the park is relatively easy and boring, you can spot lemurs, snake if you're lucky and some weird insects. I guess it all depends how lucky you are with the guide, ours was not very interested in showing us the details of dry forest. Tsingy and hanging bridges are definitely the most impressive and worth the walk. Bring a lot of water! It's terribly hot even if walking in the shadow, not to mention the tsingy area. We drunk 4 liters within 3.5 hours walk!
However beware and avoid staying overnight in Chez Aurelien if you can. The bungalows are not ventilated, inredibly hot!!! There's no elektricity so you can't load any devices. The 3 course set in his restaurant of 25,000 ariary is definitely not worth the price, it's barely eatable. The owner is only interested to take your money and is not helfpul with any information, arranging the onward transportation and ot really welcoming. We felt like a cash machine therefore I decrease the rating by 2 stars.

Interesting Tsiny and Wildlife
Oct 2019
We spent one full day (with lunch at a restaurant just outside the park) here and had a good time. We saw lots of cool wildlife and the Tsingy hike was good albeit very hot.

I was a bit disappointed by our local guide who didn't really tell us much and it seemed like they fed the Crowned Lemurs to attract them to the parking area which is not good.

Is this park worth the long bumpy drive from Diego Suarez? We only did it because it was the only Tsingy we would see on the trip and we did pick up quite a few lifer species which was nice but it was a long way to go for only 2 nights.

"Classic" Tsingy
Nov 2019
The territory of the park is quite large, but Tsingy was our main interest. The landscape is fantastic, probably the closest analogy could be the lava fields of Iceland.

Like the other Tsingy de Bemaraha NP a fantastic landscape
Oct 2019
The limestone Tsingy from Madagascar are without exception one of the most spectacular features of the country, all worth visiting. Here only a short walk and two bridges over the Tsingy are the basic route. Behind the bridge you can walk another circuit, we did not do. The large cave is interesting. The underground river that disappears is more interesting. Pity that you cannot go down and explore the tunnel for some distance. In the park, near the entrance we had a nice pick-nick lunch supplied by the hotel Chez Laurent, in the company of a few curious lemurs.

Nothing special
Jul 2019
Our expectations on the park were quite high, but the tour we did (to the Tsingy Rary) did not match them.
Tha hike is very simple, in a dry forest, and is nothing really special compared to other parks in Madagascar

Not much here

The Tsingy are spectacular and the suspension bridge fun. However, a distinct lack of fauna or much variety of flora. Not worth the long drive.

Beautiful park. but ... expensive
Oct 2018 • Couples
Oh yes, absolutely worth a visit. We made a walk from the eastern entrance (along the RN 6). The first 2 kilometers can be done in a car with reasonable ground clearance. Then you start the walk to the tsingy. It will get hot during the day, all the tourists start early in the morning. So, you will see other tourists every now and then, but it never felt overcrowded. You walk a few hours through dry forest with lemurs. chameleons etc and there are a few viewpoints. At the end of the trail you go into the tsingy area by using swing bridges. Not scary, but fun. The walk ends at a kind of shed with benches. A beautiful walk and not very exhausting.
But, the entrance fee to the park is pretty high, that's why I give 4 stars instead of 5 stars,

Impressive Tsingy and plenty of wildlife
Mar 2019 • Couples
We spent a couple of days here, overnighting at Ankarana Lodge. The Tsingy Rary is spectacular - there is a suspension bridge or a viewing platform for the best overviews. We saw plenty of brown and crowned lemurs along with ground and tree boas, a tenerec and plenty of bird species.

Great Hiking and an Amazing Environment
Dec 2018 • Family
Do not miss the cave if you visit Ankarana. We went to see the Tsingy and the suspension bridge and that did not disappoint but I didn’t know about the short hike to the cave. This was a pleasant surprise and an incredible and accessible cave complete with a ton of bats to keep you guessing. There are several large chambers and some tight passageways where the claustrophobic may have an issue but it is worth it for the cool formations. Do not forget a flashlight and expect to get your feet wet if you want to make it back into the cave to see all the chambers.
