We were a group of friends ranging from for beginner to expert - skiers and snowboarders, but were all able to enjoy the slopes. The weathers was great , the people friendly and the lifts efficient.

Rustic would sum it up. It has a few good runs but the ancient chair lifts are uncomfortable and painfully slow. Because staying in Mzaar is so very very very expensive you might as well go to the Alps or USA. We hired a ski 5 bed luxury mansion in Utah for $260 a night, in Mzaar you will pay $300 plus for a run down 2 bed apartment. If you are looking for great value destinations go to Bulgaria Bansko or Georgia. I imagine it’s great for locals coming for the day, but not worth a weekend or a weeks stay in my opinion based on value for money. Lessons are ridiculously expensive and quality low from what I witnessed. Ski hire expensive for kit that looks like it is a decade old and not maintained, at the Ski hire called Ronys. Not sure if others are better. I advise looking around. On slope Hotdog will set you back about 10000 leb £ . Beer 8000 Having skied in, Canada, Scotland, USA, Italy, France, Bulgaria....this ranks bottom on resorts visited for me right now. Had it been more reasonable in price it would be good, however it’s not.

If you love skiing and you are in Lebanon in the winter, you must try skiing in Mzaar and wardeh. One of the best ski resort in the region. Big and well organised. Always check their facebook and instagram page mzaar ski resort for the open skilift statuses. Be early to avoid traffic and have a fast breakfast before you get to the slops.

Booking ski trainers ahead is highly recommended. The trainers are great. The added value for a mother with 3 kids is the help I get in transferring the skis from the car and getting the kids ready. Expect to pay an exorbitant parking fee though, it gets more and more expensive every year.
