Even Fall, is a wonderful time of year to see the leaves and statues of this wonderful park. Look at and photograph the monuments from different angles.

It's a nice quiet area usually filled with school groups or tour groups passing through. The big soviet monuments are interesting to look at and Ascension Cathedral is near by.

If you understand and know the Kazakhstan history, then the park and statues would make more sense to you. It's got communist flavor in its design. One of the most popular park and statues in Almaty.

If you like soviet monuments, this park is a nice place. Also close to one of the orthodox churches.

Large park with a variety of monumental statues. When we were there soldiers were practising for a military parade.

This park is dedicted to yhe heroes of WW2. It is located in the center of town and is a nice and quite place to walk and relaxed. In it you can find a small and interesting museum of folk music instruments.

The most impressive monument to WW2 I have seen. Huge. Almost terrifying. The park itself has plenty of places to sit. Many of the trees were gifts of foreign dignitaries.

A nice cleaned park in the center of almaty. It s worth a walk around. There is a museum of music instruments too. If you want to relax and take a break from shopping, this could be the best place

A big park with big trees. Cathedral is in the middle. Statues on some corners. And eternal fire which shows Almaty and other pathriotic Soviet cities during WW2 is located in the park.
