Tip: you can buy a package at the main Kotoden train stations: 1000¥ gets you a round trip ticket to Busshozan station, admission to the onsen, a small souvenir towel and a paper Marugame fan which serves as your train ticket. Check out the poster with all the bathers on the train! I loved that one of the outdoor baths... More

As other travellers' images would reveal, the onsen is indeed very modern, with a traditional layout inside. Towels and toiletries are not supplied (you can buy them), so bring your own. The whole onsen feels like a bathhouse and everyone inside are locals. Remember to do some research on the proper manners inside an onsen, and how to use an... More

We took our children here (8,13) for their first Onsen experience and I think it was a good choice. The Onsen is very beautiful and very modern design, but somehow still feels like a traditional community Onsen as well. We went just after lunch which was not too busy but as we were getting ready to leave, more people were... More

Wish I knew about this wonderful facility last year when we were in Takamatsu! Amazing. So modern but so traditional. We have only a little Japanese and are in our 60's but found our way easily from the smaller train station near the JR Clement Hotel to the baths station and then had a brief 10 minute walk along a... On the men's side (I imagine the women's is similar) they have 1 indoor hot bath, 2 outdoor hot baths of different temperatures and 1 outdoor cool bath. There are maple trees in the center with the baths arranged around them, and there are benches next to the maple trees you can use to cool down. Quite pleasant - enough... More

Beautiful architecture, multiple baths outside with various temperatures, and a cozy feel while being able to look at the sky or talk to locals. I've been here quite a few times and never have had a bad experience! Definitely my favorite onsen. Can't wait to go back!

If you need to chill and relax this is the place to do it! It is only and 8 min way for the train so it is easy to get and the experience is totally worth it. There are 4 baths, 1 inside and 3 outside. I personally love sitting outside in the baths, and the seated shower before hand... More

We visited Busshozan Onsen on a Sunday afternoon when it was teeming with local families. This is a lovely place which seems to have achieved fame in a Pocari Sweat advertisement (!). In the ladies section there is a large indoor bath and several outdoor baths of varying temperatures in a lovely garden where the maples were just starting to... More

Beautiful modern structure, nice onsen. I like this one the best in Kagawa. The bath temperature is hot inside, but outside bath are not so hot.
