A good place to shop for Food and souvenirs. check their opening hours and don't go too early. Many shops only open after 10am. Walked the deserted lanes and you might have good pricing Naha Pineapple, Yummy food and etc. They even have a level...More

If you want to experience something local and ground, you must come to this market to see as visitor, it is more interested than main streets just few minutes walking distance.

Makishi has everything you need, clothes, food, souvenirs, etc. Highlight is the fresh seafood market right in the middle. Pick lunch then get it cooked up to your liking, upstairs. 5 stars.

In my opinion, the Makishi public market cannot be compared to the fish markets in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, or the other big cities of Asia. It is comparatively small, but located in a popular area. It will move to a new... More

There is another fish market in Naha (Tuna City) at the docks/port on the waterfront. It does not have as much fresh fish on display as the Makishi one, but it does not have as many tourists and is very reasonably priced... More
