Nice terminal
Nov 2019 • Couples
This terminal has some very nice views, easy access and clean facilities. It’s closer to many restaurants and shops in the city

Nice ferry terminal
Oct 2019 • Family
Ferry companies to outlying islands, tour offices and shops. Had a little trouble deciding which ferry company to use due to language barrier but in the end (due to typhoon Habigis) we went with one (Anei Kanko) as the service to the port we wanted to go to (Uehara) was shut down for high seas.

If this happens to you don’t worry. You take a ferry to Ohara and a bus will take you to Uehara and/ or to wherever you are staying. It was a good way to see the island as well and bus ride only took 45 min.

Hidden treasure inside Port of Ishigaki!
Jun 2019 • Couples
On the surface, it's just a normal port, but there is a hidden family store that sells home-cooked meals at very reasonable prices hidden in a corner. The fried beef is so good it actually melts in your mouth when you bite it. Shop is located on the left side, deep inside those souvenirs shop

All ferries to the outlying islands leave from here
May 2019 • Couples
Spacious, clean terminal. We picked up our tour tickets here and right away hopped on the ferry at the specified time. There are shops to sell food in addition to souvenirs to bring along the day trip. We have a good impression of this ferry terminal.

Almost perfect
Nov 2018 • Couples
All amenities are there, ticket selling counters, convenience stores etc. The only thing missing is a board where the time and pier at which the next ferries will leave.

Easy transit in/out of the port!
Dec 2018 • Family
Traveling to Taketomi by ferry. 2,400 yen (about $21.50, as of Dec 2018) — for round trip ferry and full day bike rental, in Taketomi.

As you come in the port, enter the main hallway and turn right. They can sell you regular ferry tickets, and also the ‘tour ticket’. (Our tour that included the bikes, simple constituted a van ride from the port at arrival, to the bike shop in town, and then a ride back to the ferry, at the day’s end.)

Everyone was very kind and helpful!
They made it easy, even as a foreign speaker. (The Japanese are SO kind and polite!)

Better to port than tendering in
Dec 2018 • Friends
There are actually 2 separate ports in Ishigaki Japan, the better one in my opinion is where the cruiseship docks vs. tendering in, not much of there except a huge parking lot and a small container trailer used as an information center with maps given as well as hiring taxis for the day.

Usable, convenient, clean, if busy at times
Oct 2018
Nothing exceptional but quite usable and convenient terminal. All the basic amenities, reasonably clean, number of ticket counters selling tours, trips and just regular ferry tickets. Automated luggage storage and food counters available. Information abundant but as virtually everywhere on Okinawa the English reserved mostly for 'don't' statements - 'no smoking', 'staff only', 'no English speaking staff on duty', etc. But one still can get by as otherwise everything is reasonably well organized. Outside terminal is conveniently located bus terminal with direct bus to airport or to elsewhere. Walking distance to number of hotels and central city streets.
