Using the city trams were incredibly easy. We bought day passes and made good use of them to visit many sights as well as restaurants in the evening.

The tram system though simple is sufficient for the city. They offer a 1-day tram pass for ¥500 for unlimited travel within a day which is very convenient and tourist-friendly.
