Getting the 1-day pass is more economical if you plan to make multiple stops. Stops at most of the attractions, or near bus stops where you coukd make a transfer for local bus.

We had an hour tour with this bus to the main attractions close to the ferrie-port. Free ride if you have a "cute pass " As the number of seats is limited, many passengers have to stand especially when the bus climbs to the observatory...More

Eye-opening for those with little volcano knowledge. Taking a short ride on ferry to the Island is also refreshing.

Use bus day pass or Kagoshima day or two day pass to visit several spots in Sakurajima Island. Short stops for an overview and than, later, pick where to stay longer.

If your low on time and or money this is for you. Beware, it can be crowded and rushed. They do provide additional buses when needed.
