In my opinion, it is not really interesting, unless you have a particular interest in geology. I would rather to soak my feet in foot bath, which is located near the visitor center.

The promenade gave a good view of Sakurajima Volcano. You could also explored the different shapes of the volcanic rocks and unique floras along the pathway.

The Lava Promenade offers beautiful views of the harbour and volcano. It runs by the ocean side and is a pleasant unchallenging walk which offers a peaceful respite from the busy city. It is about 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal. There are toilets...More
