This tour is free of charge, however I would recommend you get the hotel to call and make a reservation for you beforehand. They have both Japanese and Korean tours, both of which I did not understand, but they provided you with a listening aid that is available in English and Mandarin. The tour lasted about an hour, including a... More

If you dont speak Japanese, make sure you book for the free English guided tour which will last for 60 minutes (the Japanese speaking tours will be 90 minutes). It included history, the process of beer brewing and how the factory operated. At the conclusion, you will be taken into the canteen and given 20 minutes to finish up to... More

Tours are available in English and Korean(as well as Japanese of course)...hard part is reserving ahead of time as most staff do not speak English...I got a slot on the English tour that was well run...tour was typical brewery tour going over the brewing process and brief history...tasting included three beers and some cheese crackers...they are used to handling large... The Asahi brewery is a short (5 minute) walking distance from the Takashita station which is one stop away from Hakata station. Once you leave the train there are clear signs directing you to the brewery. We didn't book ahead so had to join a Japanese tour but were given an earpiece translation. Before the tour we had an hour... More

Making a reservation here may be a bit challenging as the phone operator speaks minimum english. Tour usually runs every half and hour, but mostly in Japanese. If you take these tours, you will likely follow the Japanese crowd, but will be given a audio guide to use and an english phamplet. This is a pretty standard beer tour, nothing... More

We joined the Korean tour. Though we were given audio equipment but still feel it would be better if we are able to attend the English tour. After the tour, you can enjoy 3 glasses of beer and a packet of snacks and kids can enjoy a free juice as well. The tour is free-worthwhile to visit if you stay... More

There is only a few slots for English guided tours so I had to join the one in Japanese. However, an audio guide is given for you to listen to the explanations of each point. The guide also pays special attention to you if you are not a Japanese speaker; checking with you if you are following the tour well.

This brewery tour is a must do for any beer lover, and we really enjoyed it. It is necessary to book tours the day before or earlier if you want a tour in English. We were unable to get an English tour so we joined a group of Koreans. We were given an audio guide to hear English descriptions so... More

We really enjoyed our tour of the Asahi Brewery. In particular, we liked the opportunity to smell and hold hops, and to taste malt (surprisingly good - taste like roasted nuts). At the end of the tour, you are provided with up to three complimentary beers (you can try the Dry, Premium and Black) as long as you drink them... More

Make sure to have a reservation first. Since we didn't have a local number, we went to the Hakata Station information and asked them to call and make a reservation for us. The lady in the counter was very helpful! We needed an english tour and the only time available for that day was at 10:30 am. Fortunately, it is... More
