I went there by taxi on Meinohama Station around JPY 950, as bus to outlet is not frequence. Many of my friends stay there over half day, but for us only 2 hours, enjoy the big wheel with JPY 1000 for a car.

I went there by bus from Hakata Station. Quite easy to reach. However, no big brands but good that it was not crowded with tourists on a Friday.

Most Japanese outlet stores (esp Premium Outlets) are located really far away from cities, mainly so that they can have a sprawling land area. But this means you will need a car or a long period of time on public transportation to get there. Marinoa City is west of Fukuoka city and it wasn't difficult to get there. Meinohama is... More

Marinoa City is an outlet shopping mall, which is located at Hakata Bay. The nearest subway /JR station is Meinohama (the last stop of subway Kuko line). There are wide selections of sports shoes like Nike, Adidas. There are also restaurants, Starbucks and even a Game Center. So, you can spend easily a half day.

This outlet mall is located close to Meinohama subway station. From the station, take the free shuttle bus to the outlet. We spend nearly the whole day there. There are several interesting brands. The mall is located next to the sea. You can also go up the ferris wheel to get a good view.

We spent 5 hours in the phases of shopping outlet center as well as short break at coffee house, resulted in buying lots with satisfaction. Outlet mall scattered with lots of shops in good brands and merchandisers, it really spent you half day at least, and not enough to play games in another game complex.

Compared to the outlet mall in Tosu, Marinoa has more Japanese brands while Tosu offers more international brands. Price is comparable and very much depends on the exchange rate. So if you like more Japanese stuff, try Marinoa,

This place really has many shops, and environment is good. The prices were fair and some shops had great promotion deals.

Large outlet mall with all the usual brands such as Uniqlo, ABC mart, Gap, Nike, Starbucks etc. Also independent shops, restaurants and a Ferris wheel. There are real bargains to be had when they have sales, particularly end of Season and in the new year. Buses go from Tenjin and Hakata, though it's quicker to catch the subway (Kuko line)... More
