Couldn't wait to get to this attraction. Mostly it didn't disappoint until we saw the dolphin show and realised that Pilot Whales were part of the entertainment. Sorry, I don't mind dolphins being kept in well-run captivity because I honestly DO believe they love the...More

The dolphin show is pretty good and isn't too long. Huge aquarium with lots of sharks, eels, turtles, etc. Well worth a couple of hours and is accessible by ferry or train.

Disappointing. Not really comfortable with trained animals, but found ourselves watching as it was the only place to get food. Very poorly serviced, hard to find anything to eat and it was along way from anywhere. Not much signage. Went by train and caught the...More

Marine World Umino-Nakamichi is a recently renewed aquarium. Although the entrance is relatively expensive (about $20), it is worthy to visit. The dolphin and sea lion show is a must-see. You need about two hours to take a look of the whole aquarium. If you...More

It is located around half an hour from city centre. It is located next to the railway station. The aquarium is not that large. The main attraction is the dolphin show. Outside the aquarium, there are several Sakura trees.

Bring so much money and sunscreen while planning to spend the day our on this peninsula. You can get there by ferry, bus, or train if you don't have your car, but that will cost you both time and money. We took the ferry and...More

This is a nice place to spend a few hours especially if you're into marine animals. The whale and dolphin show was entertaining enough but it's done in Japanese so you can only watch if you're a tourist. It was cold when we went and...More
