Nara Park was just such a great afternoon out but, unfortunately, I ran out of time and didn’t get to see half of what I had planned! The park is huge and has many attractions right there- sooooo many deer, temples, nice little shops, some...More

This place is out of our expectation. Spend at least half a day here just simply strolling around the park, feed the deer, sit down relax and soak up the beauty Nara has to offer. Wide open space great for kids to run around. Beware...More

Wild roaming deer are the main attraction here! They will harass you for food and they will follow you if you have any food. But it's all part of the fun, and it's really cool to see the deer walking around freely. You can buy...More

Nara is so easy to navigate. Directly outside the train station are the Yellow buses that make a continual loop through the heart of the tourist area. Pay about 100 Yen ($1) and hop off at Kohfukuji Temple. From their it is an easy walk...More

Worth the visit. Kids loved feeding the deer, can't say I did, the deer can be quite forward when they know there's food around. Walk up to the top is worth it, take some of the smaller and quieter paths and it feels like a...More

One of the most beautiful parks that I have seen. Around the park you can find a Temple, a Shrine, a museum, restaurants, gift shops and coffee shops. But the most enjoyable thing is that everywhere you go you will find adorable deer walking or...More

Once you arrive in the park there are deer everywhere! They want your food and will be very assertive to get it. It's fun for the family and if you find them too assertive then get rid of the deer bikkies and they leave you...More

One of my highlights coming to Osaka was being able to visit Nara park to see the wild deer. They are really cute but don’t let them fool you. They can be a little cheeky wanting your food. There is usually people selling crackers for...More

There is a special bus that conducts you from the bullet train station directly to Nara park entry. However even within the park it's a fair amount of walking. To see the Buddha temple too it's a walk, although the deer are... More

As the park is an open area, I don't think it could be closed. However, when darkness falls, people would start moving out & most if not all the tourist sites would begin to close for the night. I guess it would be deserted... More

Cafe de nature is a decent little restaurant just opposite to the museum. Food is nice and a decent lunch is just around 1000 yen. The address is 59 Noboriojicho, Nara.
