Ticket can be purchased at Tobu Toju line ticketing gate @ ikebukuro station. Pass for a return train ride cost 700¥, premium pass includes return train ride and unlimited bus rides in kawagoe for 950¥. Either ways you'll still pay lesser than the regular rides....More

A small stretch of street filled with street food and various handicraft shops. A must see when you visit Kawagoe

Temples, shrines and the old buildings converted to shops, kawagoe is a good day trip destination from tokyo. Local beer, sweet potato chips, dumplings, rice crackers etc.etc, this is the street food eaters' paradise. It's a shame that the main street hasn't become pedestrian only...More

If you're coming from Shinjuku, take the train to Kawagoe from Seibu Shinjuku Station. When you arrive Kawagoe, go to the tourist information on the west exit close to the bus stops. Buy a loop pass for unlimited rides on the Tobu Co-edo loop shuttle.
