Beautiful views of mt. Fuji and lake ashi

I booked local tour for Mt. Fuji and Hakone which include cruise and Ropeway. If time allow, may consider to stay at least a night here and enjoy the nice scenery and hot spring (Onsen) There is aquarium located near the port where kid will like it.

During our visit the weather really not good so we not able to see the scenic panorama. It is as white as if we are in the sky full of cloud. If the weather perfect, the view will be better. There's a temple and shrine at further top after we get off at the ropeway station. However we did not... More

Took a day tour in April 2016 to mt. Fuji and lake ashi. Before we got to Hakone our guide said it was too windy so the gondola wasn't running. However, when we got there you could see it riding the cables. We rode to the top of mt. Komagatake in our blue and pink seal tram then walked around... More

The full ropeway wasn't open when we were there, and a bus linked the end of the cablecar to the last few ropeway stations. This might have been an advantage as we would not have got off the ropeway and enjoyed the magnificent views from what was possibly the highest of the stations.

We got here via tour bus, we availed the Hakone, Mt Fuji 5th station, cruise and ropeway to Mt Komagatake package tour. It was a wonderful experience since the tour agency took care of everything (transportation, admission tickets and included with lunch and tour guide). The admission tickets to the ropeway was handed to us by our tour guide and... More

its a good way to catch Mt Fuji (if she's ready for it), otherwise, its just another mode of transportation with large seating capacity.

I was very impressed with spectacular views on the top of the mountain. We went to the top of mountain twice by ropeway, the first time, we arrived at 3 PM plus, it was getting dark, the weather is too cloudy and windy, so the scenery was unclear. Therefore, we went again next morning, wow, right time with clear sunny... More

This is not included in the Hakone Free Pass as what Bill said. After a long queue the ticketing officer chase us back to buy the separate ticket for this and we end up waiting even longer. Dear Bill S, please don't mislead people with your information.

On our way up the 2nd time we managed to catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji n we were excited and it was sunny, if cloudy we couldn't see anything for first day. Since we are using the Hakone free pass it was worth it otherwise on cloudy day you can skip it.

Do this with the Free Pass. That gives you bus transportation along with the lake cruse and this Ropeway. Worth the price for all three
