It has to be said, no one can quite ruin the scenery like the Japanese can. The ugly concrete jungle of Chiba city breaks 1km north of the main train station and is ultimately ruined by the hideous monorail that hanging over the park. Whenever I see something like this I just rack my brain trying to figure out what... More

If you are near Chiba Station now, it's a good place for a walk. There's a pond, trees, flowers, some play equipments for the kids, Japanese teahouse, and so on. You can get on and row a boat. It might be a nice place for the kids. I enjoyed little rose garden in the evening, and spent a relaxing time.

The park was an impromptu stop but so worth the stop. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and so beautiful to look at while walking around the pond. My favorite part was the Sakura ice cream we ate while watching all the locals picnic under the trees

It is simply a park, don't come expecting any special attractions, but it is a pleasant one. Even in the middle of winter with most of the flowers gone, the park is a relaxing place to stroll about on a sunny day, with the monorail tracks in the horizon over the duck-dotted lake providing a unique and very chiba-esque view.... Chiba Park is not so large. You can take a walk around the pond located in center of the Park. In the early April, you can see gorgeous cherry blossom. And in June - July, also flower of ancient-lotus. A lot of people come to see these in season.

i"ve noticed that in every corner you can see somebody sweeping as if there were litters around, but none whatsoever.

This place is a beauty especially during spring when the sakura flowers are blossoming. Though the park is not as large as Ueno park, it is still worth visiting. There's hardly much crowd and you can enjoy a peaceful picnic without the crowd and noise.

If you are tired of crowd especially during spring, Chiba Park is the alternate solution. It's not as popular or as big as Ueno Park, Yoyogi Park but it showcases a variety of cherry blossoms and flowers during the spring season. It is one of the underrated parks in Japan in my opinion. As I said, it's a small park... More

A spring or summer stroll through Chiba Park is a must stop for any seasonal visit to Chiba. Early spring brings the cherry blossoms to life. Late spring as illustrated by the photos attached to this review bring the lotus, iris and azaleas colors to full bloom. The pond has boats for rent and a significant supply of carp, turtles...
