This was built in 15th century, and is one of the three major 5-storied pagodas in Japan. Though I came in torrential rain brought by Typhoon Talim, it was worth visiting.

Beautiful place, I want to visit this place again but in different seasons. Not too far from Yamaguchi Station. It takes about 40 minutes for walking.

Had a nice day trip out to Yamaguchi, this was by far my favourite place in Japan, so peaceful and tranquil and well kept. There is a koi pond under the pagoda, the koi are huge!

An absolutely beautiful way to waste a few hours, amazing 500yr old shrine. Try the traditional Japanese noodle restaurant just down the road too.
