It was great to see all the artefacts up close. My only concern was that there was no English translation so couldn't really get a full understanding of the displays. The view from the top was awesome.

I've seen this castle many times from the Shinkansen and now finally visited it. I found it interesting but then I love castles. It is just a 5 minute walk from Fukuyama Station. Entrance is 200 yen. The castle is closed on Mondays. Great view from top of castle.

Visiting in March is the best, because of the cherry brossom. There are bigger traditional Japanese castles in Japan, though if you have any chance to come to Fukuyama, visiting here would be nice.

The castle is adjacent to the train station. So if you have a little time you can go downstairs, cross the street and wala, you are at Fukuyama castle. It is really not that interesting. Especially so if you saw so many other castles and temples in Japan. Nonetheless its not bad, and it's free to enter the grounds. There... More
