It is located nearly an hour drive away from Lake Kawaguchi. You can also catch a bus from Kofu station which take around 40 minutes. The valley is stretched between two bus stops. We visited the place on the rainy day but the gorge was still very picturesque. The path was very easy to walk. It look like a mini.... More

We went on 2nd November, autumn colour not anywhere near its peak, but still a really beautiful area to drive and walk around. Basically a deep wooded gorge with waterfalls and rapids at the bottom and a popular but well surfaced 'hiking' tral at the bottom, the rock formations contrasted with the trees and river at the bottom give great... I missed my bus (see below for bus information) so I didn't have time to walk the full length of the trail. I got off the bus at the Green Line bus stop instead and walked to the waterfall from there (it's only about 1km). The Green Line bus stop is the first stop on the route that is in... More

ロープウェイで登ります。秋には紅葉もきれいですし、のんびり歩きながら観光ができます。時間的にも無理せず、老若男女とわず丁度よいです。 It is good to go sightseeing here especially in autum. You can enjoy both walking and nature.

Don't miss this! Truly one of the most beautiful scenic walks I have ever taken. Make sure you bring a 1 yen coin to tuck into the cracks for good luck. You'll know where when you find it. The locals all start at the bottom and walk up the mountain, which gives you better views as you walk, and climaxes... More

We reached on a sunny weekday about 11am, easy to get parking lot but got to walk a little bit far from the carpark. Ropeway open 9am-5.30pm, depart every 20min. Adult 650¥ (one way), 1200¥ (r.trip), child 600¥, my son 4 years old free! Ticket counter staff was friendly, ropeway queue was not long & move pretty fast. The cable... More

Took a bus from platform 9 from Kofu bus station and arrive at greenline bus stop shosenkyo 45min later. Views of the waterfall was pleasing and relaxing. Can have a small picnic there provided you bring your own tatamis. There are few souvenir shops along the way. The autumn foliages were beautiful. Great getaway from Kofu.

The waterfall was great, but the highlight for me was definitely the view from the top. Simply take the ropeway, and walk all the way left after you leave the station, a 20-minute walk will take you to the top of a rocky hill. The final steps lead you to the top of a huge rock, and you can have... More

We were in Kofu for 3 days, so on our 2nd day, we decided to explore the attractions close by. The no. 1 attraction recommended is this place. We caught a bus from Kofu station and it took us about 50 mins. to reach the top of the hill. We walked about a 4 km paved path going downhill. It... More

We walked up from the entrance and reached the top of the waterfall just before the last bus to Kofu. Along the way we were constantly stopping to take photos of the stunning views. It's awe-inspiring, the waterfall and the lake stemming from it. Gorgeous huge rocks, beautiful cliff edges and an abundance of vegetation and trees that fill your... More
