A 10 to 15 minutes' walk from Toyama station. We went there in the late afternoon close to sunset. There is a water feature/fountain that releases water at regular intervals with changing and colourful lights. Sakura trees and tulip planters line the sides of the canal and makes a beautiful sight. The Starbucks Café is definitely a highlight. Sit at... More

As some of you searching through attractions on TripAdvisor, Toyama does not have many classic tourist attractions within walking distance of the train station. The most interesting place you can get to on foot is definitely Fugan Unga Kansui Park. In fact, it was the highlight of our day in Toyama. It was fun to sit back in the sun... More

The Fugan Canal Kansui Park, a waterside park surrounding a canal, is just 10 minutes walk away from the JR Toyama Station. The vast lawns of the park create a pleasing space for people of all ages, from children to the elderly. In addition to a square with a spring and waterfall, a playground and Tenmon-kyo Bridge, the symbol of... More

visited in december 2016, christmas eve. Bridge and place was nicely lighted with fairy lights. Ducks swimming in the pond. A few benches available to sit down, catch your breath and appreciate the scenery. There is also a starbucks in the park but it was quite crowded. Good place to visit considering that the city does not many have attractions.

We cycled to the park from our apartment to the park in search of Starbucks Coffee and we certainly were not disappointed. The scenery that greeted us made us speechless. We had our latte at the patio overlooking the sun set on Tenmon-kyo. The coolest Starbucks Coffee that I ever stumbled upon...what a great surprise!

It is a must visit. Built around an artificial pond, this lovely setting is beautifully attached and well kept. It even has an arch bridge. We also visited it at night as the light up is outstanding. Have a coffee at the biggest Starbucks in Japan and enjoy the view and cool air. Catch a photo by the artificial waterfall.

We had two hours to wait in Toyama while changing trains and decided to visit this park. It's not huge, but has a coffee shop and a few lakes and good places to sit. It's close enough to the station to take some time to relax here while waiting for a train.

This lovely area is a great retreat from the city! Enjoy strolling around the picturesque canals and gardens. See the lovely reflections on the water. Enjoy a quiet cruise down the waterways. Watch the birds flying in and around the park.

There is a beautiful Starbucks nearby the river, so, we spent a morning having breakfast there. Don't miss it if you are fans of Starbucks.
