I think it is the best 道の駅 in Japan. The shops are similar as other 道の駅 but you can enjoy the very beautiful seaview nearby. The buliding is colorful you can take some photos there.

A 20 minutes walk from train station to this small attraction by the sea, many souvenir shops and restaurants to help you spend an afternoon easily. A public hot spring ditch for people to wet their feet is interesting.

It is not necessary to go all the way to this place unless it is on the way. It's just a place for some shopping and food. We had our lunch upstair. Ample parking is available.

It's worth a visit for the restaurants, there is a 100 yen per plate Japanese sushi train restaurant opposite it. It's mainly a foodies dream mixed with a few souvenir stores
