I originally pushed this portion of my Japan trip aside but I'm glad we finally made time for it. The views and the hike were worth the time spent. A great way to spend a day away from the cities.

It is not really my idea of a "suspension" bridge. It is short one. The bridge itself is nothing spectacular but the view of the coast is.

We started on foot at the train station nearest the bridge after being told the bridge was about a mile away. It was longer than that, and we didn't arrive at the park until close to sundown. (FYI, it's very dark out once the sun sets here.) That being said, the walk down to the sea was beautiful, with plenty... More

Beautiful scenery along the Jogasaki coast, the bridge is beautiful and right next to the light house. And on the hot days you can get icecream or shaved ice from the store

The setting here islet decaf and serene! We hiked here from our hotel, and it was great. There is place to access the water close below it with nice watering holes. Highly recommend!

On the backdrop of the Kadowaki suspension bridge is the jagged Jogasaki coastline which has a hiking trail all along the coastline. Having visited the place in April, the trail was almost deserted, though the suspension bridge itself, did attract many visitors. We hiked from the Hashidate suspension bridge (after taking a cab from the Jogasaki kaigan station) to the... More

Watching strong powerful waves go against hard, lava rock is not only captivating, it's inviting...to just stare, & lose yourself on the suspension bridge. The suspension bridge and surrounding area has been used in numerous Japanese dramas and movies. It's used in scenes that are intense, where romantic dialogue plays out, or in horrifying intense scenes where tragedy (murder, death,... More

It is a 1.3 km long hiking with unexpected fantastic views if you go along with the coast line. The bridge is great, but the hiking experience is really wonderful.

The bridge is on the paved trail that follows the Jogasaki coast line. It's short, but has a nice view of the coast, and is, itself, interesting engineering.
