Kanazawa is the place for beautiful gardens. The castle makes an interesting feature but we just loved the peace and spaciousness of this city oasis

I'm a big fan of castles, so I was drawn to this one. We had a free guided tour just the two of us! The lady that showed us around spone good English, and was good at answering our questions. Pleasant conversation and beautiful scenery!

The castle are quite small inside, some the entrance fees are not cheap, not really worth to visit but if u have nothing to do at kanazawa, maybe u can spend about 30 minute - 1 hours here! But the Architect are quite not bad!

Castle is next to Kenrokuen gardens. Visitors cannot enter the main building but you can walk around the large grounds and gardens. From the Castle, it's a 15 minute walk to the Samurai district

Kanazawa Castle is a restored castle. The place is impressive with many alleys. I am glad I was able to visit this location during Autumn Light-up.

Wander around, and take a few snaps of the rebuilt parts but... there's a lot that that has not been rebuilt following the destruction from over a hundred years ago. Costs nothing to have a gander though, and you will almost certainly pass through on your way to the gardens so why not?

You can easily walk here from Kenroku-en - cross the bridge and you are at the entrance through the famous gate. Look down from the bridge if it’s sakura season and you can snap photos of hanami parties on the grass below. There is no charge to enter the grounds. The grounds offer plenty of opportunities to photograph the walls... More

Located in the heart of Kanazawa with easy access via public transport or ample parking nearby, the castle is a must visit when in Kanazawa. We parked near the Ishikawa-mon gate, walking up the gentle slope to view this magnificently restored gate. Entrance was free from mid Oct until end Feb but then it normally costs 310 yen per person.... More

This was a magic place to visit, we were there on a freezing cold day and the castle buildings looked amazing in the snow. We enjoyed walking through the grounds and seeing the amazing Gate structures. This was a real must!
